Material changes versus the prior comparable period
- Revenue increased $137.5 million, or 14.0%, in Q2 and $150.8 million, or 7.4%, for the first six months. The increase reflected higher service activity as COVID-19 restrictions eased, revenue management, volume growth, data center growth, acquisitions, and favorable foreign currency effects.
- Operating income increased $174.2 million in Q2 and $207.1 million year to date. The comparison was significantly affected by large gains on facility sale-leaseback transactions.
- Adjusted EBITDA increased $46.2 million in Q2 and $60.7 million year to date. Q2 margin declined 40 basis points because of revenue mix, while the six-month margin improved 30 basis points.
- Operating cash flow decreased $49.9 million year to date, primarily because of working-capital timing and lower cash generated from net income and noncash adjustments.
- Global Data Center revenue increased 10.4% year to date, but its Adjusted EBITDA margin declined to 43.1% from 45.8%, primarily because of lower-margin project revenue and a 420-basis-point churn level.

- Track COVID-19 effects on service volumes, data center churn, customer demand, and international operations.
- Review the planned Frankfurt acquisition, additional Web Werks funding commitments, and integration risks from acquisitions.
- Monitor the OFAC matter, litigation exposures, REIT qualification, data security and privacy obligations, and potential facility or service disruptions.
