Are Wall Street Analysts Bullish on AbbVie Stock?

North Chicago, Illinois-based AbbVie Inc. (ABBV) discovers, develops, manufactures, and sells pharmaceuticals worldwide. With a market cap of $520.9 billion, the company discovers and develops medicines and therapies that solve health issues across immunology, oncology, aesthetics, neuroscience, and eye care.

Shares of this drug giant have outperformed the broader market over the past year. ABBV has gained 36.6% over this time frame, while the broader S&P 500 Index ($SPX) has rallied nearly 13.5%. In 2026, ABBV stock is up 29%, surpassing the SPX’s 12.3% returns on a YTD basis.

AbbVie’s strong performance was driven by volume gains and double-digit revenue growth across nine key products, led by SKYRIZI, RINVOQ, and VRAYLAR. Immunology benefited from strong prescription trends and a new Crohn’s disease indication, while neuroscience was bolstered by VRAYLAR, UBRELVY, Qulipta, and the new Parkinson's treatment JUVMO. Moving forward, momentum will be sustained by upcoming label expansions (such as RINVOQ for vitiligo and alopecia areata), pipeline progress in oncology and obesity, and targeted business development like the Apogee Therapeutics acquisition, helping offset modest declines in the aesthetics segment.

On Oct. 30, ABBV shares closed up by 1.4% after reporting its Q3 results. Its adjusted EPS of $3.82 topped Wall Street expectations of $3.74. The company’s revenue was $17.40 billion, surpassing Wall Street forecasts of $17.37 billion. ABBV expects full-year adjusted EPS in the range of $13.95 to $13.99.

For the current fiscal year, ending in December, analysts expect ABBV’s EPS to grow 39.9% to $13.99 on a diluted basis. The company’s earnings surprise history is impressive. It beat the consensus estimate in each of the last four quarters.
