What it is

Market Periods Synchronizer overlays your current chart with the exact boundaries of a selected Higher Timeframe (HTF). It draws:

A vertical line at the start of each HTF candle

An optional filled rectangle covering the HTF candle’s price body (bullish/green, bearish/red)

Optional Open and Close horizontal markers with labels

Optional Minor TF vertical dividers (e.g., M30/M15) strictly inside each HTF candle—no clutter, no overlaps

How it works (under the hood)

The indicator copies times, opens, and closes of the chosen Higher TF, draws vertical markers and optional rectangles for body fill, then (if enabled) copies Minor TF times and creates vertical markers only when they fall strictly between two adjacent HTF times. A periodic timer (Refresh Sec) updates drawings; unmanaged objects are removed to avoid clutter.

Performance Tips

Large Lookback + very low chart TF can create many objects → start with 100–200.

Keep Refresh Sec ≥ 3–5s unless you truly need faster updates.

Enabling both minors on very low TFs increases object count; use as needed.

❓FAQ

Q: Will it repaint?

A: HTF markers update only when the HTF bar opens/closes. The shapes reflect real HTF opens/closes—no signal logic, so “repaint” isn’t applicable.

Q: Does it slow my chart?

A: It’s lightweight, but creating many objects can impact very low TFs. Reduce Lookback, disable unused minors, or increase Refresh Sec.

Q: Works on offline/renko charts?

A: It relies on standard timeframe series. Custom/offline charts may not be supported by all brokers.

There are six input parameters; period, Softness, closeX and openX as Oscillator settings and Deviation value fontsize and location . With a higher value of Softness, the indicator ignores little price changes and low trends. Therefore, the indicator stays at its state longer as an uptrend or downtrend. Open and Close weight factors are used to change price curve form based on the priority of Open or Close price.

Trading Strategy

Trading with POscillator indicator is simple. It becomes parallel to the time axis before a trend direction change. It's an alarm to close the position. However, you can use two separate indicator windows with different periods, one fast and one slow (for example 11 and 33). The slow period indicator assures you about a trend existence in the near future. When the slow period shows a powerful trend, it's better to wait until a new trend is reached with the same direction as a powerful one. In powerful trend, modification waves are small and not worth to open a new position.

When using two separate indicators at the same time, keep in mind that you have to select different H_Align for each indicator. Deviations of slow and fast periods are more useful. Compare fast period deviation with slow ones. Bigger value of fast period shows a sudden and sharp trend. Small deviation represents consolidation and quiet condition of market. It's safer to trade in low volatility conditions.

Note: Less Softness, more sensitivity! For softness greater than 0.4, you may have one bar lag. Check the lag first.

No matter what timeframe you choose, it works at M5 as well as H1 or H12.

The Math (How it Works)

Gann believed that price and time are related geometrically. The algorithm uses the Square Root principle to find the next significant rotation levels.

Baseline: It takes today's Open Price.
Normalization: It converts the price into a \"Gann Number\" (adjusting for decimal points, e.g., turning 1.2000 into 12000).
Rotation Calculation:
- It takes the Square Root of the price.
- It adds or subtracts specific increments corresponding to degrees on a circle:
  - 0.125 = 45°
  - 0.250 = 90° (Quarter Circle)
  - 0.500 = 180° (Half Circle - Major Pivot)
  - 1.000 = 360° (Full Circle - Major Cycle End)

Since this indicator is highly optimized, only the last ATR number is available, so NO big buffers are used to store ATR numbers. Just read buffers #0, #1 and #2 in its 0 (zero) index that you will get it done!

To ADD more than one indicator in the same chart, just add it to your chart and CHANGE the ATR Period, this way the indicator will create a second version of itself.

Attach to any symbol (recommended on D1 for daily stats).

Drag the header line to reposition; the rest will follow.

Choose PIP_AUTO to let the indicator pick sane defaults for XAU/BTC/US100, or set a custom mode if your broker uses different price steps.

Set InpUseTrueRange = true if you prefer ATR-style day ranges for closed bars (Today remains High–Low by design).

Notes & Conventions

XAUUSD (HFM style): 1 pip = $0.10 price move (pip value ≈ $10 per 1.00 lot).

The “Today” line always uses simple High–Low of the current incomplete bar; historical stats use closed bars (and True Range if enabled).

The indicator draws only OBJ_LABEL—it won’t interfere with objects list clutter.

signalShift (Por defecto: 1):

- barra 0 = la señal aparece en la barra actual, es decir, justo en la barra donde se genera la señal.
- barra 1 = la señal aparece en la barra anterior (una barra atrás), para que tengas un poco más de tiempo para verla antes de que se cierre la barra actual.
- barra 2 = la señal aparece dos barras atrás, útil si quieres que la señal quede más visible o alineada con otros indicadores.
Nota: Usar la barra 0 puede hacer que la señal aparezca justo cuando la barra está aún en formación, lo que puede generar señales menos estables o falsas, porque el precio aún puede cambiar antes de que la barra cierre.
