Min Breaks: Minimum amount of broken previous highs/lows required to detect a PMG.
Show Levels: Show levels of the broken highs/lows.

🔹 Pivot Combos

Pivot Lookback: Lookback period used for detecting pivot points.
Right Bars Scan: Number of bars scanned to the right side of a detected pivot.
Left Bars Scan: Number of bars scanned to the left side of a detected pivot.

🔹 Dashboard

Show Dashboard: Displays statistics dashboard on chart.
Numbers Counter: Displays the numbers counter section on the dashboard.
Pivot Combos: Displays pivots combo section on the dashboard.
Show MTF: Showa MTF candle numbering on the dashboard.

🔶 USAGE

(image 1) This script allows users with an understanding of The Strat to quickly highlight elements such as candle numbers, pivot machine guns, and custom combos. The usage for these concepts is given in the sub-sections below.

🔹 Candle Numbers

(Image 2) The Strat assigns a number to individual candles, this number is determined by the current candle position relative to the precedent candle, these include:

Number 1 - Inside bar, occurs when the previous candle range engulfs the current one.
Number 2 Up - Upside Directional Bar, occurs when the current price high breaks the previous high while the current low is lower than the previous high.
Number 2 Down - Downside Directional Bar, occurs when the current price low breaks the previous low while the current high is higher than the previous low.
Number 3 - Outside bar, occurs when the current candle range engulfs the previous one.

The script can highlight the number of a candle by using labels but can also style candles by depending on the candle number. Inside bars (1) only have their candle wick highlighted, directional bars (2) (-2) only have their candle body highlighted. Outside bars have their candle range highlighted.

Note that downside directional bars are highlighted with the number -2.

Users can see the total amount of times a specific candle number is detected on the historical data on the dashboard available within the settings, as well as the number of times a candle number is detected relative to the total amount of detected candle numbers expressed as a percentage.

It is also possible to see the current candle numbers returned by multiple timeframes on the dashboard.

🔹 Searching For Custom Combo

(Image 3) Combos are made of a sequence of two or more candle numbers. These combos can highlight multiple reversals/continuation scenarios. Various common combos are documented by The Strat community.

This script allows users to search for custom combos by entering them on the Combo user setting field.

When a user combo is found, it is highlighted on the chart as a box highlighting the combo range.

🔹 Pivot Combos

(Image 4) It can be of interest to a user to display the combo associated with a pivot high/low. This script will highlight the location of pivot points on the chart and display its associated combo by default. These are based on the Pivot Combo lookback and not displayed in real-time.

Users can see on the dashboard the combos associated with a pivot high/low, these are ranked by frequency.

🔹 Pivot Machine Gun (PMG)

(Image 5) Pivot Machine Guns (PMG)s describe the scenario where a single price variation breaks the value of multiple past successive higher lows/lower highs. This can highlight a self-exciting behavior, where even more past successive higher lows/lower highs get broken.

Users can select the minimum sequence length of successive higher lows/lower highs required for a PMG to be detected, as well the amount of these successive higher lows/lower highs that must be broken.

🔶 USAGE

Once mitigation of an FVG occurs, we detect the zone as an \"Inverted FVG\". This would now be looked upon for potential support or resistance.

Mitigation occurs when the price closes above or below the FVG area in the opposite direction of its bias. (Image 2)

After the FVG has been mitigated, returning an inversion FVG, a signal is displayed each time the price retests an IFVG zone and breaks below or above (depending on the direction of the FVG).

Keep in mind how IFVGs are calculated and displayed. Once price mitigates an IFVG, all associated graphical elements such as areas, lines, and signals will be deleted. (Image 3)

This indicator is not meant to be just a 'signal indicator'. Backtesting historical signals is incorrect as it does not consider the mitigation of IFVGs, which is a standard method for trading IFVGs & various concepts by ICT.

The signals displayed are meant for real-time analysis of current bars for discretionary analysis. Current confirmed retests of unmitigated IFVGs are still displayed to show which IFVGS have had significant reactions.

Show Last: Specifies the number of most recent FVG Inversions to display in Bullish/Bearish pairs, starting at the current and looking back. Max 100 FVG (setting).
Signal Preference: Allows the user to choose to send signals based on the (Wicks) or (Close) Prices. This can be changed based on user preference.

Cluster Analysis: Analyze the clusters to identify areas where clusters tend to form. These areas might correspond to regions of price behavior that repeat over time and could be indicative of support and resistance levels.
Potential Support and Resistance Levels: Based on the identified areas of cluster formation, traders can consider these regions as potential support and resistance levels. A cluster forming at a specific price level could suggest that this level has been historically significant, causing similar price behavior in the past.
Cluster Standard Deviation: In addition to looking at the means (centroids) of the clusters, traders can also calculate the standard deviation of price changes within each cluster. The algorithm for K means is as follows:

Initialize cluster centers
assign data to clusters based on minimum distance
calculate cluster center by taking the average or median of the clusters
repeat steps 1-3 until cluster centers stop moving

█ LIMITATIONS OF K MEANS

There are 3 main limitations of this algorithm:

Sensitive to Initializations: K-means is sensitive to the initial placement of centroids. Different initializations can lead to different cluster assignments and final results.
Assumption of Equal Sizes and Variances: K-means assumes that clusters have roughly equal sizes and spherical shapes. This may not hold true for all types of data. It can struggle with identifying clusters with uneven densities, sizes, or shapes.
Impact of Outliers: K-means is sensitive to outliers, as a single outlier can significantly affect the position of cluster centroids. Outliers can lead to the creation of spurious clusters or distortion of the true cluster structure.

█ LIMITATIONS IN APPLICATION OF K MEANS IN TRADING

Trading data often exhibits characteristics that can pose challenges when applying indicators and analysis techniques. Here's how the limitations of outliers, varying scales, and unequal variance can impact the use of indicators in trading:

Outliers are data points that significantly deviate from the rest of the dataset. In trading, outliers can represent extreme price movements caused by rare events, news, or market anomalies. Outliers can have a significant impact on trading indicators and analyses:

Indicator Distortion: Outliers can skew the calculations of indicators, leading to misleading signals. For instance, a single extreme price spike could cause indicators like moving averages or RSI (Relative Strength Index) to give false signals.

Risk Assessment: Unequal variance can impact risk assessment. Indicators with higher volatility might lead to riskier trading decisions if not properly taken into account.

█ APPLICATION OF THIS INDICATOR

This indicator can be used in 2 ways:

1) Make a directional trade:

If a trader thinks price will go higher or lower and price is within a cluster zone, The trader can take a position and place a stop on the 1 sd band around the cluster. As one can see below, the trader can go long the green arrow and place a stop on the one standard deviation mark for that cluster below it at the red arrow. using this we can calculate a risk to reward ratio.
Calculating risk to reward: targeting a risk reward ratio of 2:1, the trader could clearly make that given that the next resistance area above that in the orange cluster exceeds this risk reward ratio.

2) Take a reversal Trade:

We can use cluster centers (support and resistance levels) to go in the opposite direction that price is currently moving in hopes of price forming a pivot and reversing off this level.
Similar to the directional trade, we can use the standard deviation of the cluster to place a stop just in case we are wrong.
In this example below we can see that shorting on the red arrow and placing a stop at the one standard deviation above this cluster would give us a profitable trade with minimal risk.
Using the cluster density table in the upper right informs the trader just how dense the cluster is. Higher density clusters will give a higher likelihood of a pivot forming at these levels and price being rejected and switching direction with a larger move.

█ FEATURES & SETTINGS

General Settings:

Number of clusters: The user can select from 3 to five clusters. A good rule of thumb is that if you are trading intraday, less is more (Think 3 rather than 5). For daily 4 to 5 clusters is good.
Cluster Method: To get around the outlier limitation of k means clustering, The median was added. This gives the user the ability to choose either k means or k median clustering. K means is the preferred method if the user things there are no large outliers, and if there appears to be large outliers or it is assumed there are then K medians is preferred.
Bars back To train on: This will be the amount of bars to include in the clustering. This number is important so that the user includes bars that are recent but not so far back that they are out of the scope of where price can be. For example the last 2 years we have been in a range on the sp500 so 505 days in this setting would be more relevant than say looking back 5 years ago because price would have to move far to get there.
Show SD Bands: Select this to show the 1 standard deviation bands around the support and resistance level or unselect this to just show the support and resistance level by itself.

Show Panel: Display panel to show infor of zones.

Features:

Besides the support and resistance levels and standard deviation bands, this indicator gives a table in the upper right hand corner to show the density of each cluster (support and resistance level) and is color coded to the cluster line on the chart. Higher density clusters mean price has been there previously more than lower density clusters and could mean a higher likelihood of a reversal when price reaches these areas.

How to Use

Set the factors for Tenkensen, Kijunsen, and Span B (default: 1.0, 2.9, 5.8).
Choose your desired signal types.
Select the preferred signal strength (strong, neutral, weak).

1. ARC (Average Range times Constant)

ARC is the original concept used in the Super Trend indicator:
• multiply a constant (factor) with the Average True Range (ATR), then, based on trend direction, either subtract or add the resulting value to the last extremum point on the price chart.
• In an uptrend, ignore any support level lower than the previous day’s support level, and during a downtrend, ignore any support level higher than the previous support level.

2. ARC Ichimoku

ARC Ichimoku is a variation of the classic Ichimoku indicator, which instead of using chart Max/Min values over fixed periods (e.g., 9, 26, 52) to find Ichimoku lines, employs the ARC with adjustable factors (constants) for the same periods to find those lines.

Tenkensen: This line represents an ARC (Super Trend) calculated using an adjustable factor (default, 1.0) based on a 9-period ATR.
Kijunsen: Kijunsen is also an ARC (Super Trend) calculated using an adjustable factor (default, 2.9), but based on a 26-period ATR.
Span A (faster cloud edge): It is the average of Tenkensen and Kijunsen, shifted forward by 26 candles.
Span B (slower cloud edge): It is another ARC (Super Trend) calculated using an adjustable factor (default, 5.8) based on a 52-period ATR. It is then shifted forward by 26 periods.
Chikou: Chikou represents the close price shifted backward by 26 candles.

3. Available Signals in the indicator

There are five reliable signals in the classic Ichimoku, which have difference in their strength mostly based on their relationship with the cloud, and you can see all of them in this indicator, too. These include:

Tenkan-Kijun Cross: When Tenkensen crosses above/below Kijunsen, it signals a potential bullish/bearish trend.
Price-Kijun Cross: This signal occurs most frequently and when the price crosses above or below the Kijunsen line.
Kumo Breakout: A breakout above or below the Kumo (cloud) indicates a potential trend reversal.
Kumo color change: When the cloud color changes from red to green, or vice versa, it signals a potential trend reversal.
Chikou Span Confirmation: When the Chikou (lagging span) crosses above or below the price, it confirms the prevailing trend direction.

How to calculate candles on Heikin Ashi chart?

- Open = (Previous Open + Previous Close) / 2.

In normal candles, the open level is at the close of the previous candle (unless there is a gap in the market). In Heikin Ashi, a new candlestick opens at the intermediate level, between the open and close of the previous one.

- Close = (Close + Open + High + Low) / 4.

The average value of the current candle between the low, high, open and close.

- High = Recent high, highest value of opening or closing value.

Low = Recent low, lowest value of the open or close.

Occasionally some of these values will be equal, which will affect the overall appearance of the chart. The choice of time frame will also have a big impact on the appearance of the chart.

From the above formulas it becomes clear that the current candlestick of the indicator is calculated with a delay, therefore the signals given by Heikin Ashi are of a delayed nature. In this case, the calculation of a new candle will be possible only after the next one appears on the price chart.

When trading volatile assets on small time frames, the indicator can help effectively filter out market noise, false breakouts and entry points. However, it is worth noting that when operating in a market with low volatility and/or on wide time frames, Heikin Ashi will rarely signal.

This indicator can be used to display Support and Resistance levels according to the Malaysian SNR concept, in which Support and Resistance are exact levels of a line chart.

Malaysian SNR

There are 3 different horizontal levels in Malaysian SNR:

A-Level: This level is located at the peak of this line chart. (shape looks like the letter A)
V-Level: Level at the valley of a line chart, (shape looks like the letter V)
Gap-Level: This level is located at the Close/Open gap between two candles of the same color.

Levels can be of state fresh (Untested) or unfresh (Tested). A level is designated as fresh if it has not been touched by a wick, it can become fresh again if it is crossed by the body of a candle. If it is then touched by a wick again afterwards, it is considered unfresh again.

If a level is fresh, the theory of Malaysian SnR assumes that there is a greater probability that the price will react at that level and move in the opposite direction because this fresh Support / Resistance level is more significant than an unfresh level.

The indicator is calculating this state and displays the levels then in a different way: Fresh levels are displayed as solid lines, unfresh levels are displayed as dashed lines. It is also possible to hide unfresh levels, so that only the fresh levels are visible in the chart.

Parameters of the indicator

Level Color (color): Line color of the levels
Display fresh levels only (bool): Should unfresh levels be hidden in the chart
Number of Bars Lookback (integer): Number of bars lookback period at which levels will be added to the chart
Levels Above Price (interger): Number of levels that should be displayed above the price. It will be the closest levels to the price that can be found.
Levels Below Price (integer): Number of levels that should be displayed below the price. It will be the closest levels to the price that can be found.
Timeframe: Timeframe for which the levels will be calculated.

How to trade with SNR Levels

With the indicator it is possible to display SNR levels of a HTF (higher timeframe) on a LTF (lower timeframe) chart. A common strategy is to trade HTF levels on a LTF chart. This means that you can wait (or set an alert) that price reaches a HTF level (for example a Daily or Weekly SNR level) and then enter the trade on a LTF (for example 5 min) when a bullish or bearish structure has established on this timeframe.

Indicator settings

Number of histograms: Numero de barras del volumen a mostrar
Profile position: Si deseas que el perfil del volumen se muestre en la primera vela o en un lateral
Color mode: Si deseas que el perfil del volumen se divida en alcista/bajista o no

Indicator color settings

Up color: este parámetro cambia el color del volumen alcista
Down color: este parámetro cambia el color del volumen bajista
Total color: este parámetro cambia el color del volumen total
