Revenue mix and operating changes
- Digital Customer Experience revenue fell 8.7% to $143.5 million; management cited decreases from existing clients in travel and transportation, entertainment and gaming, social media, and health technology.
- Trust and Safety revenue rose 36.1% to $55.3 million, reflecting growth from existing clients and new FinTech work.
- AI Services revenue declined 23.6% to $28.7 million, primarily due to lower activity from existing social media and travel and transportation clients.
- SG&A decreased 17.7% to $52.9 million, mainly due to lower earn-out and stock-based compensation expense and lower insurance costs. Cost of services decreased 1.7%; depreciation increased 11.7%.
- Management attributed higher GAAP net income partly to lower earn-out and stock-based compensation expense. Adjusted EBITDA and Adjusted Net Income declined despite the increase in GAAP net income.

Outlook, risks, and contingencies
The filing provides no specific revenue, earnings, or margin guidance. Management’s stated liquidity expectation is noted above. Principal risks include dependence on major clients and economic conditions in client industries; exposure to AI-related changes; data security, privacy, and service-quality issues; reliance on international operations, particularly the Philippines and India; labor and employee-retention costs; and foreign-exchange and variable-rate debt exposure. One client represented 19% of Q1 revenue; the top ten clients represented 56%.
Foreign-currency forward contracts generated $1.5 million of unrealized losses in Q1 2024, compared with $6.3 million of unrealized gains in Q1 2023. The company reported $5.5 million of financing expense. It is defending securities and data-breach-related litigation; it says outcomes and potential losses cannot currently be estimated for certain matters. Management believes pending matters will not have a material adverse effect, but notes that adverse outcomes could be material. No material changes to the risk factors in the 2023 Form 10-K were reported.

- Check client concentration, receivable exposure, and the potential effect of client losses or delayed payments.
- Monitor foreign-exchange exposure, forward-contract results, SOFR-linked interest costs, and debt covenant compliance.
- Follow the status and potential financial impact of the disclosed lawsuits and the remaining share-repurchase authorization.
