Analysts and investors are wary of VRSK due to its not-so-impressive fundamentals and financial figures. The company’s annual revenue growth over the last five years has been 1.7%, way lower than the sector average and its peers. Moreover, its earnings growth also underperformed the sector average over the last two years, with its EPS growth just 8% annually, indicating lower profitability.

When stacked against its rival, Equifax Inc. (EFX) has fallen 31.6% over the past year, outpacing VRSK.

Wall Street has a moderately optimistic view of the stock currently. Among the 20 analysts tracking VRSK, the overall consensus stands at a “Moderate Buy.” Its mean price target of $234.72 suggests 33.5% upside from current levels.
