Trading ideas

Consolidation breakout trading

Look for 2-3 bricks in a narrow range. Enter when 3-4 bricks of the same color appear in sequence. Place stop loss behind the last brick of the opposite color.

\"Brick wall\" strategy

After 5+ bricks of the same color, wait for 1-2 bricks in the opposite direction. Enter when movement resumes in the trend direction. Place stop loss behind the last retracement brick.

Support/resistance levels

Mark levels where brick direction changed 2-3 times. Use them as entry levels for market positions. Confirm with the formation of a new brick in the desired direction.

This is fibonacci system based on the previous day levels (low and high) and the current day levels.

You can choose your favorite in settings. I use the Previous Day Fibo and use the toggle button on the top of the pairs list for swithing to the Current Day Fibo.

The App detects inside bar and engulfing bar too.

Trading Strategies

Riskier Exit: Do not exit when trend fill turns grey, but rather wait until the trend fill turns the opposite trend color (red if placed a call, or green if placed a put). This strategy is best for capturing full trend movements, because it captures multiple movement phases of a trend.

Parameters

TCD Calculation Type (Default=Standard): Indicates how indicator is visualized, either Standard (with choppiness indicator lines); TCDBars (with choppiness indicator bars); or Histogram (fast detection of trendy/choppy, trendy is < 0 and choppy is >0).
Calculation period (Default=14): Number of bars used for calculation.
Control line period (Default=5): Calculation period used to compare short/long term choppy/trendy values. The parameter varies detection sensitivity for choppy/trendy periods.

It takes some time to download data for all currencies from the broker's server, so the chart may change until all the data is downloaded.

MAPer - The period of the moving average used to determine the trend;
MAMode - Method of constructing a moving average;
GridCount - The number of lines in the histogram grid on the positive and negative sides;
FixGridValue - Fix the top grid value to a specific value. 0 - automatic grid value;
ShowValue - Show currency trend strength values above the histograms;
SizeFont - Font size of chart labels;
PreFix - Character prefix;
SufFix - Symbol postfix;
Analysis - Analysis number. Values from 1 to 4;
LineWidth - Line thickness. Values from 1 and more;
LimitCountedBars - Limits the number of history bars examined. Can be reduced for increased speed;

Each parameter helps you fine-tune the sensitivity and accuracy of signals:

BB Period – Defines the period used for the Bollinger Bands calculation.
Higher values make the trend smoother and more stable, while smaller values react faster to short-term market changes.
BB Deviations – Controls the distance between upper and lower bands.
Increasing it reduces false signals, while smaller deviations generate more frequent entries.
Use ATR Filter – When enabled, the indicator applies an ATR-based filter to smooth volatility and avoid sudden trend flips.

L’indicatore calcola una forza normalizzata (da 0 a 100) a partire dalle variazioni di prezzo su un insieme di principali coppie Forex disponibili nel Market Watch, e visualizza il risultato come ranking sul pannello.

Mostra i simboli Forex principali nel Market Watch (mostra tutto / aggiungi i major).
Applica l’indicatore a qualsiasi grafico.
Imposta Calculation Timeframe e Calculation Period.
Osserva la valuta più forte e la più debole e seleziona le coppie coerenti con la tua strategia.

Parametri (Inputs)

ATR Trailing Stops Setup

Typical ATR time periods used vary between 5 and 21 days. Wilder originally suggested using 7 days, short-term traders use 5, and longer term traders 21 days. Multiples between 2.5 and 3.5 x ATR are normally applied for trailing stops, with lower multiples more prone to whipsaws.

The default is set as 3 x 21-Day ATR.

How to Apply in Trading

This is the most basic and safest method.

Identify the Trend: If the channel is sloping upwards, you should only look for BUY opportunities. If the channel is sloping downwards, you should only look for SELL opportunities.
Find Entry Points:
- In an uptrend (upward sloping channel), wait for the price to pull back to the center line or the lower channel line. These are potential buying zones.
- In a downtrend (downward sloping channel), wait for the price to rally to the center line or the upper channel line. These are potential selling zones.

b. Short-Term Mean Reversion

This strategy is riskier and requires more experience.

When the price touches or exceeds the upper channel, it can be considered \"overbought.\" You might look for a short-term SELL order with the expectation that the price will revert to the mean (the center line).

Important Notes:

Due to the nature of the data feeding process this indicator DOES NOT WORK with the Strategy Tester.
When starting the platform on a new day and the market is still closed, unless the Experts tab (log) says that there is an error loading the Calendar Events, all of them were correctly loaded and plotted on the chart. They will only be shown to you when the new day really starts plotting new bars.
In order to see the news coming upfront in your chart you need to enable the Chart Shift feature - space created intentionally at the right of your chart. And you can use the little \"handle\" to control the ammount of space needed.

How many past bars you want to process? This way you avoid overloading you Metatrader and focus on your main goal.
Volume Type to process: Real Volume or Ticks Volume
Show Simple Moving Average on indicator?
Simple Moving Average period setting
Time (in seconds) to periodically check for Missing Bars... This is necessary because not all brokers work smoothly providing ticks for Metatrader. So, in this case, The indicator will reinforce the load of any missing bars. Please be advised that this indicator could behave \"weird\" (incomplete bars) when the market is closed.

NOTE:
This indicator will NOT WORK for Brokers and/or Markets with NO LAST PRICE in their feed, as for instance, Currency Pairs - that only have BID and ASK prices.
