This indicator calculates volume in price levels(typical volume indicator shows only candle volumes).
With the volume of price levels, you can identify important areas that have the potential to reverse. You can also see the volume of support and resistance levels and decide on them.
Using volume profiles along with Price Action and Elliott analysis can help the trader a lot.

Support and Resistance Levels

The first thing that most traders will use volume profile for is identifying basic support and resistance levels.
It is important to note that using Volume Profile as an identifier for support and resistance levels is a reactive method. This means that unlike proactive methods (such as trend lines and moving averages) which are based on current price action and analysis to predict future price movements, reactive methods rely on past price movements and volume behavior. Reactive methods can be useful in applying meaning or significance to price levels where the market has already visited. Basic technical analysis has shown that a support level is a price level which will support a price on its way down and a resistance level is a price level which will resist price on its way up.
Therefore, one can conclude that a price level near the bottom of the profile which heavily favors the buy side in terms of volume is a good indication of a support level. The opposite is also true. A price level near the top of the profile which heavily favors sell side volume is a good indication of a resistance level.

Indicator Parameters:

Calculation Period: With this option, you can specify the deep search in a specific time-frame.

M1 Minute: Calculation on M1 time-frame candles, Calculations with high accuracy but slowly.
M5 Minute: Calculation on M5 time-frame candles, Calculations with good accuracy and fast.
M15 Minute: Calculation on M15 time-frame candles, Calculations with low accuracy and very fast (Recommended only in time-frame H4 and above).

Example strategy

Just like with most other tools or studies, Volume Profile has a number of uses. There are many trading strategies out there using Volume Profile as a key component. Below are the basics of one such strategy which is based on comparing the current day’s opening price to the previous day’s Volume Profile.

If the current day opens above the previous day’s value area (but still below the Profile High) look for price to retrace back towards the Point of Control and then proceed to rise (the direction of the day’s open). Therefore during the retracement to the Point of Control, there is a buying opportunity.
If the current day opens below the previous day’s value area (but still above the Profile Low) look for price to retrace back towards the Point of Control and then proceed to fall (the direction of the day’s open). Therefore during the retracement to the Point of Control, there is a selling opportunity.
If the current day’s opening price is completely outside of the previous day’s profile (above the Profile High or below the Profile Low) this can be seen as a possible runner in the direction of the opening price relative to the previous day’s profile range.

I fixed the MT4 version which has 95 lines of code. It took me 5 days to write the MT5 version.(reading the logs and testing multiple times and finding out the difference of MT5 and MT4!)

My first MQL5 version of this indicator had 400 lines of code but I optimized my own code again and now for reading all of the history it has around 290 lines of code!

In My first MQL5 version of this indicator I used IMAonArray from MT5 site and it used to take 8 seconds to load for the first time for calculating 700 candles!

\r\n

As MT5 does not have iMAonArray and the code iMAOnArrayMQL4 from https://www.mql5.com/en/articles/81 has some loops with too much cycles, so I rewrote it.

\r\n

Also the time series in MT5 is from old to new candles ( from left to right ) but in MT4 the time array is set as timeseries by default, so it is from new to old ( right to left ). As the indicator was coded somehow that I couldn't simply set arrays as timeseries ( change their direction ) and get the correct results, so I had to change all the loops and write my own method to calculate all the candles of history.

As the original code was free, I will share product for free in market too. hope it will be useful for getting faster signals than the traditional MACD.

Indicator parameters

\r\n

FastEMA - default is 12. the number for setting the faster EMA period.
SlowEMA - default is 26. the number for setting the slower EMA period. It's value should be greater than the FastEMA.
SignalEMA - default is 9. The number for setting the period for calculating the Signal line which is drawn in blue color.

Deteção de Tendência

O MetaBands detecta tendências usando uma linha azul que oscila dentro de um canal. Quando a linha encontra a banda superior do canal, indica o início de uma tendência de baixa, e da mesma forma, quando encontra a banda inferior, indica o início de uma tendência de alta. Se a linha azul se move perto da linha central, o mercado está em consolidação.

Este indicador usa um método único para detectar tendências. Pode parecer complicado no início, mas se você assistir ao tutorial em vídeo, perceberá o quão poderoso e fácil é.

Sinais de Entrada e Saída

Quando a tendência muda ou o preço cruza as bandas superior ou inferior, o MetaBands alerta imediatamente o trader através de diferentes métodos que podem ser ativados nas configurações do indicador.

Matriz de Sinais

Para monitorar vários símbolos de diferentes períodos de tempo e ver os sinais em um só lugar, clique no botão superior direito ou pressione M no teclado para abrir a Matriz de Sinais. Tipo de Canal

Período

Alfa

Define o comportamento do algoritmo de detecção de tendência. Quanto maior o Alfa, mais rápido a linha de tendência se move. Para obter uma linha de tendência relativamente mais rápida, use um valor negativo para Alfa. Um Alfa negativo faz com que o algoritmo preveja o futuro do preço, por isso é mais rápido.

Tendência Inteligente

O algoritmo de Tendência Inteligente ajusta automaticamente o alfa internamente para cancelar os ruídos da tendência. O valor inicial de Alfa é importante.

Suavização [Período, Grau]

É um campo de entrada múltipla para suavizar o canal. Um único valor será uma SMA. Você pode escrever uma vírgula e inserir outro valor para o grau do método de suavização. Por exemplo, a entrada 100,2 diz ao indicador para usar uma Double EMA com período 100 para suavizar o canal.

Todos os parâmetros de entrada listados no nome de cada tipo de canal são campos de entrada múltipla. Cada campo permite que vários valores separados por vírgula sejam inseridos. Por exemplo, se Period = 100, 50, 25, 12, então você pode inserir 3,2,1 para o Degree. Heikin-Ashi charts resemble candlestick charts, but have a smoother appearance as they track a range of price movements, rather than tracking every price movement as with candlesticks.

Because the Heikin Ashi candlesticks are calculated based on averages, the candlesticks will have smaller shadows than a regular Japanese candlestick. Just like with regular Japanese candlesticks, with a Heikin Ashi candlestick, the smaller the shadow, the stronger the trend.

In this indicator, Heiken Ashi candles smoothed with exponential moving average.
The length of 1 will be the same as the normal Heikin Ashi.

What Is An Order Block?

An Order Block (or Banker Candle, or Institutional Candle) is an opportunity to get very high risk to reward trades (often 5:1 or more) but you have to know how to trade them.

An Order Block is formed when the banks either buy or sell a large amount of currency. eg for a buy order block, they will sell and it creates a bearish candle. After this, the banks buy aggressively creating a large, fast movement in the opposite direction. This leaves their sell trades in negative equity. So, they will sell again at the higher price to bring it back to the original sell price.

After this, the pice will usually go back up, and probably higher than the one just created. There are a lot of vidoes about Order Blocks / Banker Candles / Institutional Candles so watch them if you are not sure.

Will It Work For You?

Back testing this indicator gave roughly a 70% win rate BUT you should do your own baktesting on the pairs, timeframes and time of day when you trade to see if it would work for you.
