How the Signals Work

The indicator tracks two lines in the subwindow — the Signal line and the Trigger line. When the Signal line crosses above the Trigger line while momentum is in the oversold zone (below -53), a Strong Buy signal is generated. When the Signal line crosses below the Trigger line while momentum is in the overbought zone (above +53), a Strong Sell signal is generated.

These extreme-zone crossovers are the highest-probability setups because they occur when momentum is genuinely exhausted and turning. Mid-zone crossovers can also be enabled for traders who prefer more signals with additional confirmation.

MACDmaxmin provides valuable market information and signals of overpricing, and divergences that it detects automatically. These signals are represented in the oscillator as circles for the divergence points and squares for the overprices points. You can immediately receive configurable alerts for these signals.

Furthermore, this indicator has two unique characteristics

It graphs dynamic support and resistance levels that it automatically calculates according to the market to which it has been applied and the input parameters conveniently configured by the trader. Overbought and oversold levels are also automatically calculated for each chart optimizing the results.

The second uniqueness of MACDmaxmin is that it presents normalized values on a scale of -100 to 100 to get a global idea about the real movement of the market.

What is a Support/Resistance Channel?

Channel Strength

Channels are ranked by strength, which considers:

to remember that the lastindicator segment can change depending on the

Such an ability to correct its values according to the further price

changings makes Zigzag an excellent tool for the already formed price

changes. Therefore, there is no point in creating a trading system

based on Zigzag as it is most suitable for the analysis of historical

Crossover Level 0. Similar with Mode 4. But this is the cross over up/down the level 0. If the signal line cross up level 0 the the matrix box color is Blue and if cross down level 0, the color is Red.

Parameters:

Fast MA: This is MACD setting.
Slow MA: This is MACD setting.
MACD SMA: This is MACD setting.
MACD Applied Price: This is MACD setting.
MACD shift: This is MACD setting, Bar shift of MACD to be scanned, counted from right to left. Example: if the value=1, then indicator will scan the values of MACD signals on bar 1 of the selected timeframes and simbols.
Scan Mode: There are 4 Scan Modes; Lines Trend, Upper/Lower Level 0, Upper/Lower Level 0 & Lines Trend, and CrossOver. Explained in the previous part above.
Show Entry Arrows: If true, the MACD Scanner indicator will display arrows on the chart. Otherwise, false
BUY Color: The Color of BUY arrow signals and matrix boxes on the panel.
SELL Color: The Color of SELL arrow signals and matrix boxes on the panel.
Scan All Symbols selected in Market Watch: If true, MACD Scanner Indicator will scan all symbols available on the market watch. Click Tab View – Market Watch to check all symbols available.

Max.Symbols/Panel: This is the maximum number of rows in the panel. Example: You scan 10 symbols and your Max.Symbols/Panel = 5 then there will be 5 symbols on every panel. Total = 2 panels.
Matrix Width= this is the width value in pixels of matrix boxes in the panel.
Matrix Height = this is the height value in pixels of matrix boxes in the panel.
Matrix Space = the space in pixels between the matrix boxes.
Panel Space = the horizontal space in pixels between panel.
Symbols Background Width = This the symbols background width, this is provided to suit the long symbol name if available.
X Start = The Panel Start in pixels, counted from left.
Y Start = The Panel Start in pixels, from top.
Entry Arrows Alert: If true, MACDScanner will send an alert if the signal arrow is triggered in case ‘Show Entry Arrows’ is true.
Minimum Total TFs to alert/symbol: This is the minimum total TFs for the indicator to send alerts notification. Example: If the input value= 3 and M5, M15, and M30 are Blue then the Indicator will send a notification. This is not related to Signal Arrows but to the matrix signals on the panel.

The parameters below should be turned to be true in order to get alerts.

How the Alerts work

The indicator will look for symbols that have the most total signals in the same direction and more than ' Minimum Total TFs to alert/symbol'. If more than one symbol is found with the same total signal's strength, the indicator will look for the symbol with the least opposite signals direction. Otherwise, it will send alert and drawing stars highlight on the matrix. If more than 1 symbol is still found, the indicator will look for the symbol with the most recent update.

It means that the symbol with stars highlight on the matrix is the most potential symbol based on the selected MACD Scan Mode.

Signal Arrows

The Signal Arrows are drawn on the current chart. No repaint and No lagging. This is an additional feature of MACDScanner. In the hope, it can help more for trader to gain profits. The arrows work based on RSI indicator. It means this can be interpreted as the oversold/overbought signals. Regarding signal usage depends on the MACDScanner Mode currently used and the trading strategy. It can be used as an exit point and also as an entry point as well.

For examples:

1. Scan Mode: Crossover Level 0 and you make a BUY entry when you get BUY alert from the scanner. Then you can exit when you find sell arrow on the candle. Or you can use the arrows to start to trail your position on the certain price level.

2. Scan Mode: Trend Lines and you get BUY alerts from the scanner on timeframes: H1, H2, H4, H6, H8, H12. Then you can wait for BUY arrow on the lower timeframe, let's say timeframe M15 or M20, to send Order Buy.

The Main function of MACDScanner Indicator is to provide MACD signals matrix on the panel. In case, you don't want to use the arrow signals, you can hide from the chart. Parameter input is available to do it.

Cos'è l'OsMA?

L'OsMA (Oscillatore di una Media Mobile) è la differenza tra il MACD e la sua linea di segnale, noto anche come istogramma MACD. I valori positivi indicano che il MACD è sopra la linea di segnale (momentum rialzista), i valori negativi indicano che il MACD è sotto (momentum ribassista). I crossover della linea zero corrispondono ai crossover MACD/Segnale e segnalano potenziali cambiamenti di tendenza. Barre crescenti mostrano un momentum in aumento, barre decrescenti mostrano un momentum in diminuzione.

I segnali OsMA si generano quando si attraversa la linea zero (cambio di tendenza), quando appaiono divergenze tra OsMA e prezzo e quando si rilevano picchi e minimi nell'istogramma. L'indicatore aiuta i trader a misurare la forza e la direzione dei movimenti di momentum con elevata precisione.

Lines Crossovers may be used as a signal of a probable change in trend.

1 · Panoramica

L’indicatore disegna zone di prezzo dagli swing high e low più recenti e sovrappone un istogramma di volume per ciascuna zona. Lo spessore dell’istogramma si espande o si contrae con l’attività corrente, permettendo agli utenti di valutare quanta attenzione il mercato dedica a un determinato livello.

2 · Concetti chiave

Zone di prezzo — bande orizzontali tracciate sui pivot di prezzo recenti.
Istogramma di volume — banda riempita la cui larghezza varia con il percentile di volume vicino alla zona.
Indicatore di alto volume — cerchio che appare quando il volume in una zona supera la soglia definita dall’utente.
Bars volume max — icona “sole” mostrata sulle candele il cui volume supera quella soglia, evidenziando l’inizio di un’attività intensa.

3 · Parametri principali

Pivot look‑back – numero di barre utilizzate per trovare swing high e low.
Soglia di volume – percentile o valore assoluto che attiva indicatori e Bars volume max.
Fattore di espansione banda – controlla quanto si allarga l’istogramma con volume elevato.
Opzioni colore – colori separati per supporto, resistenza, istogramma e indicatori.
Filtro candela per segnale – condizioni extra per i segnali a freccia:

La candela corrente deve essere Bars volume max.
Toccare una zona di resistenza genera una freccia Sell; toccare una zona di supporto genera una freccia Buy.
Se il filtro è attivo, deve valere uno dei due criteri:

Buy: candela rialzista (close > open) o corpo < 50 % dell’intero range.
Sell: candela ribassista (close < open) o corpo < 50 % dell’intero range.

4 · Uso tipico

Osserva le zone di supporto (verde) e resistenza (rosso) insieme ai loro istogrammi di volume.

Poni particolare attenzione alle zone che presentano sia un istogramma spesso che un indicatore di alto volume — segno di forte partecipazione.

Usa le candele colorate per individuare quando è iniziato l’aumento di volume e colloca quel momento nel contesto di mercato più ampio.

Combina i risultati con linee di tendenza, zone di liquidità o altri strumenti quando costruisci un piano di trading.

Monitora i segnali Buy/Sell su più simboli e timeframe per una rapida panoramica del mercato.
