My childhood hobby in software development became my career in the mid 1980s.

I have developed many MT4 and MT5 EA's, indicators and scripts.
The challenge as always, is to test, test, test. Record results, analyse them, minimise and eliminate curve fitting. Then make conclusions, decide on actions, implement actions and re-test.

Moving into MT5... As a developer in the 80's and 90's I went through the transition of 3GL/4GL languages and design methods into the world of Object Orientation, classes, methods, inheritance, polymorphism etc. It was good, but it *completely* relies on a very solidly defined object model that remains reasonably static. The MT5 EA libraries give a good framework for OO development.

Most of my MT5 work now is object/class based, and compatible with the MT5 wizard. The ability to add custom classes to the MT5 Wizard means I can concentrate on rapid iteration and testing of trading strategy development.
