Why Options Traders Are Betting That Marvell Technology Stock Could Soon Hit $300

According to Barchart, consensus is for the custom AI chips specialist to record $0.65 per share of earnings (EPS) for its second fiscal quarter, which would represent a 30% increase on a year-over-year basis.

Where Options Data Suggests Marvell Stock Is Headed

Following Nvidia’s blowout Q2 release, markets are convinced that AI spending is keeping strong, and the derivatives market believes Marvell will demonstrate that the capex is translating into solid demand for its networking, optical, and custom-chip infrastructure.

The put-call ratio on contracts expiring Aug. 28 sits at 0.82 currently, indicating traders expect MRVL shares to pop after the earnings event later today.

More importantly, the upper price on options contracts set to expire late November signals Marvell Technology could actually be $300 stock within the next three months.

Should You Load Up on MRVL Shares Ahead of Q2 Earnings?

The Barchart Opinion indicator agrees with the bullish options market sentiment. It holds an “88 BUY” opinion on Marvell shares currently, reinforcing that technical momentum also favors continued upside ahead.

After all, the chipmaker sits decisively above its major moving averages (MAs) at writing, with an RSI in the late 50s suggesting intense buying pressure.

And while MRVL’s forward price-earnings (P/E) multiple of about 78x warrants some caution, its overall growth profile and massive institutional ownership (about 83.5% currently) help offset some of those concerns.

Wall Street’s View on Marvell Technology

What’s also worth mentioning is that Wall Street firms are sticking with their bullish view on MRVL stock heading into the earnings release.

According to Barchart, the consensus rating on Marvell Technology remains at “Strong Buy” – with the mean price target of $279 indicating potential for a more than 15% rally through the remainder of 2026.
