State Street's Quarterly Earnings Preview: What You Need to Know

With a market cap of $49.4 billion, State Street Corporation (STT) is a leading global provider of financial services to institutional investors, offering investment servicing, investment management, investment research, and trading solutions. As of June 30, 2026, the company had $57.9 trillion in assets under custody and/or administration and $6.3 trillion in assets under management, with operations spanning more than 100 geographic markets and approximately 51,000 employees worldwide.

The Boston, Massachusetts-based company is set to announce its fiscal Q3 2026 results before the market opens on Wednesday, Oct. 14. Ahead of this event, analysts expect the company to report an EPS of $3.60, up 29.5% from $2.78 in the previous year's quarter. It has surpassed Wall Street's bottom-line estimates in the past four quarters.

For fiscal 2026, analysts project State Street to post EPS of $13.75, marking a 33.5% increase from $10.30 in fiscal 2025.

STT stock has jumped 52.6% over the past 52 weeks, surpassing the S&P 500 Index's ($SPX) 15.4% gain and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF's (XLF) marginal return over the same period.

State Street reported Q2 2026 results on Jul. 16. The bank reported a 56% year-over-year increase in quarterly profit to $1.08 billion, or $3.65 per share, driven by stronger fee income. Total fee revenue climbed 17% to $3.19 billion, while assets under custody and administration increased 18% to $57.86 trillion and assets under management rose 23% to $6.28 trillion. Foreign exchange trading services revenue also jumped nearly 26% to $494 million, supported by higher client volumes, particularly in Asia-Pacific, reinforcing the strength of State Street’s core fee-based businesses.

Analysts' consensus rating on STT stock is cautiously optimistic, with a "Moderate Buy" rating overall. Out of 18 analysts covering the stock, opinions include nine "Strong Buys," two "Moderate Buys," and seven "Holds." The average analyst price target of $203.12, suggesting a potential upside of 13.6% from current levels.
