Indian investors are increasingly gaining access to U.S.-based stocks. The country already has strong demand for U.S. equities. As CNBC reports, online trading platform Groww, which has expanded immensely, now commands 29% of India’s 46 million active investors and recently rolled out U.S. equity trading. Chief Operating Officer Harsh Jain confirmed that semiconductor giant Nvidia (NVDA) is among the platform's most popular names.
Zerodha, which has a 15% share of active clients, has also begun beta-testing U.S. stock access and expects to launch its service within a few weeks. Meanwhile, Angel One is reportedly planning to launch a U.S. stock trading platform as well, sporting 6.7 million active retail clients.

This indicates potentially growing retail interest in Nvidia among India-based investors. For the company, access to trading through Indian apps expands its potential investor base into one of the world’s largest retail-investing markets, especially as NVDA stock can serve as a proxy for investing in the lucrative artificial intelligence (AI) market. That said, Indian retail investment must grow into a large, persistent flow to have a substantial impact or drive a sharp rally in Nvidia stock, which has a huge market capitalization worth nearly $5 trillion.
About Nvidia Stock
Based in Santa Clara, California, Nvidia has become one of the world’s most valuable companies, fueled by its leadership in AI and high-performance computing (HPC). Its advanced GPUs and AI platforms power data centers, cloud services, and emerging technologies, positioning the company at the heart of the global tech ecosystem and the AI transformation. With a market cap of $4.9 trillion, Nvidia’s valuation underscores its pivotal role in supporting the AI boom and demand for advanced computing.
NVDA stock is up only 1% over the past 52 weeks because the market is no longer rewarding the company solely for exceptional growth. Investors are increasingly focused on whether AI customers can finance and earn returns on their massive data-center spending. Over the past month, NVDA stock has dropped 10%, likely as investors continue to worry about how the AI buildout is being financed. Nvidia stock reached a 52-week high of $243.37 on Oct. 6 but is currently down 16% from that level.
Still, NVDA stock is not that expensive given Nvidia's growth prospects. Its forward price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 22.9 times is only slightly higher than the industry average of about 22.3 times.
Nvidia Reports Q2 Results
The chip giant reported blockbuster second-quarter fiscal 2027 results in August. The results highlighted accelerating demand, as Nvidia believes that AI has reached its inflection point.
Revenue rose 106% year-over-year (YOY) to $96.2 billion. Data Center revenue drove this growth, climbing 117% YOY to $89 billion. Top-line tailwinds also translated into bottom-line gains, as non-GAAP operating income rose 124% YOY to $63.96 billion. Non-GAAP EPS climbed 120% from the prior-year period to $2.22.
For Q3 fiscal 2027, Nvidia expects revenue of $108 billion, plus or minus 2%, with a gross margin of 74%, plus or minus 50 basis points. Wall Street analysts are robustly optimistic about Nvidia’s future earnings. Analysts expect EPS to climb by 101% YOY to $2.49 in Q3. For all of fiscal 2027, EPS is projected to surge 104% YOY to $9.30, followed by 69% YOY growth to $15.74 in fiscal 2028.
What Do Analysts Think About Nvidia Stock?
In October, Needham analyst Rajvindra Gill reiterated a “Buy” rating and a $300 price target for NVDA stock. Gill noted that the company recently announced supply-chain agreements as well as unveiled the DSX POD at GTC Berlin 2026, the latter of which could prevent "tens of billions of dollars in foregone token revenue."
Cantor Fitzgerald analysts also recently reiterated an “Overweight” rating and a $350 price target on Nvidia. The firm expects Nvidia’s overall revenue share to rise through 2027 and 2028.
Nvidia has been in the spotlight on Wall Street for some time now, with analysts awarding NVDA stock a consensus “Strong Buy” rating overall. Of the 52 analysts covering shares, 48 have a “Strong Buy” rating, three have a “Moderate Buy,” and one analyst has a “Strong Sell” rating. The average price target of $328.75 represents potential upside of 61% from current levels, while the Street-high price target of $515 indicates potential upside of 152% from here.
