Motorola Solutions, Inc. MSI recently secured a new public safety contract in Louisiana to modernize statewide public safety operations. The 10 year contract is valued at $139 million. The agreement covers mobile video, digital evidence management and command center technology, expansion and upgradation of state’s land mobile radio infrastructure.
The contract is also focused on enabling several state agencies to move to Motorola Solutions’ integrated platform, including body cameras, in-car video and real-time situational awareness software. The deployment will connect six state agencies, helping eliminate data silos and improve the sharing of real-time intelligence among first responders. The deal also underscores growing demand for Motorola Solutions’ integrated video, command center and software capabilities.
The customer win aligned with Motorola’s broader growth strategy that is expanding recurring software and services opportunities alongside mission-critical communications hardware. The company generated $3.13 billion in second-quarter 2026 revenues, up 13% year over year, with Software and Services revenue increasing 10% and Products and Systems Integration revenue rising 15%.The company ended the second quarter with a record $15.6 billion backlog, up 11% year over year. The recent development reinforces Motorola’s position in the public safety technology market.

Focused on global public safety, Axon Enterprise’s AXON suite includes conducted energy devices, body-worn cameras, in-car cameras, cloud-hosted digital evidence management solutions, productivity software and real-time operations capabilities. Axon’s Connected Devices segment continues to benefit from broad adoption of TASER 10, Axon Body 4 and counter-drone solutions. Segment revenues increased 34.6% year over year in the second quarter of 2026, after rising 33% in the first quarter and 29.1% in 2025. Demand is broadening beyond U.S. state and local customers. International bookings roughly tripled year over year in the second quarter, while Axon won large TASER 10 awards in the Middle East and Europe.
NICE LTD NICE is one of the dominant players in the customer experience (CX) domain thanks to an AI-powered cloud platform that serves multiple domains, including customer engagement, financial crime and compliance, and public safety. NICE continued to gain share in Customer Engagement as large enterprises consolidated customer engagement on CXone and adopted AI within the platform. In Q2 2026, total revenue grew 7.6% year over year and cloud revenue rose 12.6%. Management reported a record second quarter for new cloud ACV bookings.
