Strategy:

The main idea of the indicator is to detect sharp deviations from the average line and at the moment of return, the indicator will give a signal to return to the average value

The indicator is presented as three lines. The middle line is the moving average. The upper and lower lines are the middle lines shifted by a certain number of deviations (for example, by 2), the magnitude of the deviations is regulated by volatility. The width of the bands is adjusted based on volatility, the width decreases during the most stable periods. Bollinger bands create a corridor within which 95% should be prices and only 5% go beyond

The recommended period is from 13 to 24, the most common is 20

Market Entry:

The EA trades on the return of the price to the average value. That is, after the candle leaves the channel, the adviser will trade in the direction of the price returning back to the average value

Other pairs show profit but need more code optimization.

After christmas, between the years, meaningful trading is rarely possible. If there are any movements at all, experience shows that they are extremely unpredictable due to the overall thin trading volume. For this reason, live trading is recommended to be deactivated until 2 January.

Black Night 'knows' when important US holidays come, to lower then trading activity in USD related pairs.

First Black Night sets limit orders in 8 currency pairs. If a limit order is executed and turnes into a buy

or sell the EA deletes correlating limit orders and doesn't open new ones until the running order is closed.

Once a order is opened pending orders of correlating pairs are closed to lower risk.

Black Night automatically detects the pair and indicates it in the chart (up, left) together with the current spread.

HourStart - 2 hours before rollover, here 22.

Most brokers use GMT+2 in winter and GMT+3 in summer (US DST). Their rollover is at 0:00.
HourEnd - hour after rollover, here 1
Auto_Moneymanage: auto money management: 1 = On
MiniLots: if true, Auto_Moneym. has steps of 0.01 lot
MaximumRisk: % of account free margin set on risk for a trade
Lots: lot size if Auto_Moneym. is disabled

Following the same settings for sell orders and:

MaxSpread: if spread exceeds this, set pending orders are deleted

The default setting is fairly low, so in the rollover hour usually all limit orders are deleted.

LastTradeDayDec: for low liquidity around the holidays in 2nd half of Dec. trading is deactivated after the set day

Logic of work

The advisor tracks the change of trend using the SuperTrend indicator.
When a trend signal is confirmed, the latest Fair Value Gap is analyzed.
If the FVG direction matches the trend, a position is opened.
Stop loss is set according to the selected method (SuperTrend or FVG border).

Entry Zones

Once the oscillator value is about zero it means there’s going to be a big movement in the price in the near future because traders from almost all timeframes are agree on the current price and have united to move the price by a big step in one direction. Therefore, Royal Wave tries to predict low-risk entry zones where price wants to move only in one direction until the oscillator reaches the exit zone. Entry zones are always going to be the close enough start of a big movement in the price.

Exit Zones

Once the oscillator is in the exit zone close to 100, it’s predicting an overbought when the color is yellow or an oversold when the color is blue. This zone can be used to exit a trade or update a stop loss level because of the high probability of reversals in these areas.

Exit Zone points are potential candidates to be reversal points in a trend. By using the Royal Wave Signal Matrix, some of these areas can be identified as low-risk areas to enter a reversal trade.

Trend and Power

The value of the oscillator represents the current power of the trend which oscillates between 0 and 100. When the power is rising, a yellow color indicates a strong uptrend and a blue color indicates a strong downtrend. A decreasing power shows consolidation which means there is no trend in the price and the trader should wait for the entry zone.

Signal Matrix

Gives an informative view of several symbols for all timeframes in one matrix. Each cell of this matrix is a brief representation of a symbol's price behavior from a single timeframe. Please watch the tutorial video for more details.

Cross Window

See and compare data from an arbitrary symbol and timeframe within a chart with a different symbol and timeframe. This tool can be used to develop multi-symbol and multi-timeframe strategies. Please watch the tutorial video for more details.

Test Recommendations

Use different values for Alpha and Beta. Test both 0.1 and 0.2 values for Alpha on different timeframes.
Alerting functions, Signal Matrix and Cross Window might not work in the test process properly. it's the MetaTrader restrictions for playing sounds and drawing objects in the strategy tester.

Input Parameters

Input Name [Range]	Description
Symbol, Timeframe	Use this input to set different Symbols or Timeframes for the indicator. For example, on a EURUSD chart you can write USDJPY, H1 for the input. By adding a minus sign before the name of the symbol (-USDJPY, H1), Royal Wave will use the inverse of USDJPY which is JPYUSD. Symbol inversion makes it possible to have the same base or quote currency for the chart and the indicator.
Sensitivity [0.0, 1.0]	This input makes the oscillator sensitive to local price movements. The closer to 1, the more it gets sensitive.
Alpha and Beta inputs [0.0, 1.0]	To catch longer trends and for noise canceling increase these inputs. For getting the overall trend add a second Royal Wave with a higher timeframe or with higher values of Alpha and Beta.
Smooth Period	Makes the signal smoother. Enter 0 if smoothing is not required.
Zone Flasher	When using Royal Wave on multiple displays/charts, by color-flashing on entry and exit zones it draws your attention to the chart which potentially requires some trading action.

20-period and 200-period Simple Moving Averages (SMA): select NO to hide the averages.

Candle Time Left: Shows the time left for the current bar to finish.

General Settings

Initial Value: Value used for the Limits calculation. Each asset has its own value.*

Offset (1 to 10): Used for times greater than 10 minutes to adjust the Limits.

Time Remaining Color: defines the color that will be used to show this resource.

Top/Bottom Weekly Reset: YES will do limit calculations based on week instead of day. It only affects graph times less than one hour (H1).

Colors

The trader can adjust the colors and styles of the limits and averages lines as desired and even hide each line individually by selecting None.

Input Parameters

Input Name	Description
Period	The maximum size of the window which is used to calculate the trend. The default is 100 bars, try other values like 150 and 200 to find the best period.
Sensitivity	A percentage value (0 to 100) which defines how fast the indicator detects reversal points.
STD Period	This input is zero by default and will be set automatically based on the first input. STD Period and Period inputs are the key inputs that can be optimized for Expert Advisors.
Trend Reversal Response	A percentage value (-100 to 100) which tell the indicator how dynamic it can response to the market volatility.
Lock inputs on timeframe	Lower timeframes have more details but they are noisier. To get the advantage of details and avoid noises, use the indicator on low timeframes but lock the inputs on a higher timeframe. Locking on a higher timeframe makes MetaTrend recalculates the inputs in such a way to generate almost the same trend shape like the one from the higher timeframe. This way trend reversals can be detected with lower lags.
Show Targets	Shows the target lines and creates a channel around the price. A target line is a forecast for the next potential price that the market will hit in its next move.
Calculate once per bar	For quick testing and optimizing of expert advisors, enable this input.
Alert Trend	Enable this to get alerted when the trend changes.
Signals per Trend	Controls the frequency or occurrence of signals generated within each individual trend.
Signals at Same Level	The number of alerts or signals generated at the same price level.
Signal Zone Alert	Limits the generation of alerts or signals within a zone, which starts at the beginning of trends and continues for a specified multiple of the channel width, providing customization of sensitivity and responsiveness to trend changes.

How To Test Smart Channel EA

Smart Channel EA can be tested using the Metatrader Strategy Tester. Since this EA uses many graphical objects and the graphical events work only on live charts but not in the Strategy Tester, you won't be able to configure the channel graphically using the tester. Therefore we have programmed a set of graphically configured test cases to the EA to let you test most of it's features easily.

Use the following steps to test this EA:

Open the strategy tester (Ctrl + R)
Go to the Overview tab, click Visualize and from the Expert dropdown select Smart Channel EA
Go to the Inputs tab and select a test case(Each test case name shows the Symbol, Timefame and the Start Date of the channel)
Go back to the Settings tab and select the Symbol and Timefame based on the selected test case
Set the Start Date based on the selected test case
Set the End Date to one or two months later
Adjust other parameters as you like
Start the tester
Since graphical objects do not work properly in the tester you might experience a delay in repositioning the panel while resizing the tester window. So before the tester starts, maximize the tester window.

Please note that all graphical objects including buttons do not work in the tester environment. It works on live charts properly as described in the tutorial video.

Brief description

The ContiStat indicator calculate statistic frequency of green (up) and red (down) movement in the chart and determine movement dynamics (silver curve). There are two key parameters to understand the ContiStat principle: Block height and Block count. The ContiStat engine convert instrument price chart move to Blocks of constant height (price) regardles of how much time it take.

Example 1: Block height is set to 50. DE30 index price make move from 15230 to 15443 in an hour. 4 green Blocks are generated.

Example 2: Block height is set to 50. DE30 index price make move from 15145 to 15169 and then to 15088 in a day. Only one red Block will be generated since green Block price height condition wasn't met (15145 - 15195).

Block count determine how many consequent Blocks will be considered as statistic sample. Statistic frequency of green and red blocks in the sample is generated then. The movement dynamics is calculated as inverted value of average number of Rates (Candles) in one Block for statistic sample.

Benefit

In constrast with time based methods to determine trend direction (Moving Averages, RSI, OVB etc.), the ContiStat is time-independent. Despite of market volatility, even in seemingly rangin market it can still show what's the chance to get another up or down movement of selected height.

Parameters

Block height: Block height in the instrument price dimension. Range is <0, instrument price>. Good starting value is 0.2% to 0.7% of instrument price or whatever movement is interesting for you. See screenshots for improper parameter setting. See Brief description for parameter meaning description.
Number of Blocks for statistics: Block count for statistic calculation. Range is <0, 1000>. Good starting value is 30. See screenshots for improper parameter setting. See Brief description for parameter meaning description.

How to use

Set the parameters properly: Chose your time frame and choose the price movement that is interesting for you. When parameters set properly, dynamics curve will not stick to 0 nor overshoot 1. When setting Number of Blocks for statistics, keep in mind the indicator will tend to oscilate and show coarse output if value too low and will be \"lazy\" and lagging significantly, when parameter too high.

When parameters set properly:

If the Green output curve significantly ( >= 0.65-0.7) higher then the Red output curve and not descending steeply, speculate for Uptrend continuation, look for Long trades, avoid Short trades at all.
If the Red output curve significantly ( >= 0.65-0.7) higher then the Green output curve and not descending steeply, speculate for Downtrend continuation, look for Short trades, avoid Long trades at all.
If the Green and the Red output curve in narrow band (0.5 +/- 0.05-0.1), don't trade, or speculate carefully for trade reversals on price chart local extremes.
If the Dynamics (Silver curve) is too low (<= 0.2), leave the market. Ther's no interesting move (but the situation may change quickly and unexpectedly).
If the Dynamics (Silver curve) is too high (>= 0.8) or rising steeple, you're either in trade, having good times, or not and then don't enter, wait for market to calm a little.

Since the ContiStat isn't trade entry point detector, it's good idea to combine with another indicator, for example MACD. Example is shown on screenshot

Parameters for working with a spread.

Set Stops Level - forcibly set the level of freezing stops and the minimum distance to the order.
Spread Min - Minimum spread. If you do not install it, the bot will work like a grail, it will give fabulous profits, but not real ones.

2. Set up:

So easy, we just have 4 inputs:

Chart: Apple stock (APPL.NAS)
Time frame: H1
LOT SIZE: you can input the lot size that you want to trade, the bot always using this lot to trade.
SL = 1.2, TP = 1.2 : I had tons of testing, so I recommend you to use this R:R 👍
Optimize Profit: true/false - so if you set = true, the bot will help you to calculate lot size according to your balance, but I recommend you set it = false and the lot size will be always the same for all trades, that means you are more safe. But if you do like much profit and also much risk, your decision 😎 (just back testing history data, and you will see the difference when changing this config 🤑)

-> Example: Chart time frame is 1H, expect the next trade to open after 1 hour.

Both the TP and SL levels are draggable on the chart, even from the mobile app. Reborn will also recalculate the TP and SL levels when placing manual trades.

Mobile notifications menu is for sending push notifications on the profit/loss of every symbol at the end of every trading day.

For high risk traders, Kill and switch with Martingale could be the most preferred strategy for them. For normal risk taking traders, the kill and switch without martingale could be the most preferred strategy for them. Choose wisely with proper testing.

For fast optimization, disable the dashboard and profit/loss lines menus during the Optimization Process, this will save you a lot of time. Normally the number of tasks required to run are less than 120 depending on your strategy.
