Color Logic (Alert Filtering)

Any object color triggers Alerts and Notifications except the disabled color defined in the indicator settings. Objects drawn using the disabled color are ignored completely.

Important Notice About the Free Demo Version

The standard MQL5 Market Demo does not work because MetaTrader’s Strategy Tester does not allow drawing objects. Since TouchGuard Alert depends entirely on chart objects, the demo cannot function in Strategy Tester.

To allow users to fully test the Alert & Notification system on a real chart, a Free Demo Version is published separately in the CodeBase. This demo works normally on live MT4/MT5 charts.

ptTypical - Typical price, (High + Low + Close) / 3.

ptMean1221 - John Ehlers smoothing price. (C1 * 1 + C2 * 2 + C3 * 3 + C4 * 1) / 6. This leads more smoothing price, less false signals and more lagging indicator.

AdaptiveMethod - The adaptive method.

amVolatility - Use the volatility to measure the look back.
amSwing - Count the swing (highest and lowest peaks) to measure the look back.
amSymmetryZigZag - Use the SymmetryZigZag indicator to measure the look back.
amUpDownBalance - Count the bars of up and down to measure the look back.
amVariable - Use Efficiency Ratio to measure the look back.
amFractal - Use fractal to measure the look back.
amFixed - Not adaptive, use fixed look back. Works same as the conventional indicator.

Volatility_Period - Used by amVolatility. The period to count the volatility. The look back period is between 2 and Volatility_Period.
Swing_Count - Used by amSwing. The swing count to measure the look back.
SymmetryZigZag_Depth - Used by amSymmetryZigZag. The bar count to look for a peak.
SymmetryZigZag_Count - Used by amSymmetryZigZag. The peak count to measure the look back.
UpDownBalance_Period - Used by amUpDownBalance. The period to count the up/down bars.
Variable_Period - Used by amVariable. The period to measure the look back.
Variable_VolitilityPeriod - Used by amVariable. The period to measure the volatility.
Variable_TrendFactor - Used by amVariable. The multiply factor. Usually between 0~1.
Fractal_Period - Used by amFractal. The period to count the fractal.
Fractal_SlowPeriod - Used by amFractal. The slow period to count the fractal. The value must be larger than Fractal_Period.
Fixed_Period - Used by amFixed. The look back period.
LevelHigh, LevelMiddle, LevelLow - The levels to check for alerts. Use these values instead of \"Levels\" tab.

Usage

Adaptive RSI is a better indicator for over bought/sold strategies because it is more sensitive to market condition change than conventional RSI. The levels should better be 80 and 20 rather than 70/30. I personally don't recommend to use Adaptive RSI as the only indicator for entry/exit. It should be used together with other indicators or price action. For example, we may determine the current market trend with EMA, and only buy at over sold in a bullish market and only sell at over bought in a bearish market. More strategies are waiting for you to research.

Operating Principle

The indicator uses adaptive analysis technology that dynamically changes sensitivity depending on market conditions. During strong trend periods, the system quickly reacts to price movement, while during flat periods it slows down, filtering out market noise.

Green fast line - for short-term analysis

Types of Trading Signals

Price crossover signals: A buy signal is formed when price crosses the blue line from bottom to top. A sell signal is formed when price crosses the blue line from top to bottom. This type of signal can be enabled and disabled in settings.

Dual crossover signals: A buy signal is formed when the green line crosses the red line from bottom to top. A sell signal is formed when the green line crosses the red line from top to bottom. This type of signal can also be enabled and disabled independently.

Trend filter: An optional filter analyzes long-term market direction and filters out signals against the main trend. This significantly improves signal quality on higher timeframes.

Repeated signal filter: An intelligent system prevents the appearance of multiple consecutive arrows when price fluctuates in a narrow range. The filter works in automatic mode, selecting the optimal distance between signals for each timeframe, or can be configured manually.

Adjusting Signal Quantity and Quality

To get more signals: Decrease the ER Period parameter to values of 8-10. Enable the Use Price Crossover parameter. Disable the Use Trend Filter parameter. Decrease the Min Bars Between Same Signals parameter to 1-2. Use lower timeframes M1 and M5.

To get fewer signals: Increase the ER Period parameter to values of 12-14. Disable the Use Price Crossover parameter. Enable the Use Trend Filter parameter. Increase the Min Bars Between Same Signals parameter to 5-10. Use higher timeframes M15 and H1.

To get more accurate signals: Enable the Use Dual KAMA Crossover parameter. Enable the Use Trend Filter parameter. Increase the Slow KAMA Period to 25-30. Set Min Bars Between Same Signals to a value of 3-5. Use timeframes M15 or H1. This will produce fewer signals, but higher quality entries.

To eliminate repeated signals in sideways movement: Increase the Min Bars Between Same Signals parameter to values of 5-10. This will prevent the appearance of multiple consecutive arrows when price fluctuates around the adaptive line. A value of 0 enables automatic mode, which automatically selects the optimal distance depending on the timeframe.

Information Panel

The indicator displays a compact information panel in the chart corner with current data:

Current value of the main line
Current value of efficiency ratio
Trend status: uptrend, downtrend, or neutral
Price position relative to the main line
Ratio of fast and slow lines

The panel updates every second and helps quickly assess the current market situation.

Usage Features

The indicator works on any financial instruments: currency pairs, metals, indices, cryptocurrencies, stocks. It is recommended to use on instruments with sufficient liquidity and small spreads.

For scalping and intraday trading, it is better to use lower timeframes M1-M5 with Price Crossover mode enabled. For position trading, M15-H1 timeframes with Trend Filter enabled are recommended.

The indicator does not repaint signals after they appear, as calculation is performed only on fully formed bars. Arrows remain on the chart and do not change their position.

All alerts trigger only once when a new signal appears on a closed bar. There are no repeated alerts on the same bar.

Session Range Pro includes a simple, transparent breakout model and calculates the historical win rate of that model for each session.
