Sometimes the markets are in such a trending phase that it is impossible not to notice and it is enough to simply buy with the trend.

4) It is possible to limit losses in the Price_for_StopLoss parameter in case of an unsuccessful trend forecast.

The Fool EA - User Guide (v1.0)

Welcome, and thank you for choosing The Fool. This guide will walk you through setting up, backtesting, and using the EA effectively. Please read it carefully.

Section 1: The Most Important Rule - Run on a M1 Chart!

This Expert Advisor is a sophisticated multi-timeframe system. For its internal clock and calculations to work with 100% accuracy, it MUST be attached to a 1-Minute (M1) chart.

For Backtesting: You must select M1 in the Strategy Tester.

For Live/Demo Trading: You must drag the EA onto an M1 chart.

The EA will still trade on its internal 5-minute, 15-minute, or 30-minute logic, but its \"heartbeat\" must be an M1 chart. Attaching it to any other timeframe will cause it to function incorrectly.

Section 2: How to Backtest the EA

Because the EA can trade multiple symbols, you must backtest each instrument one at a time.

Step-by-Step Guide:

Open the Strategy Tester in MetaTrader 5 (View -> Strategy Tester or Ctrl+R).

Select the EA: Choose The Fool.ex5.

Select the Symbol: Choose the instrument you want to test (e.g., US100Cash for NQ or US30Cash for YM).

Select the Timeframe: Choose M1 (Minutes). This is mandatory.

Select Dates: Choose your desired testing period.

Click on the \"Inputs\" tab to configure the EA for your test.

Configuring Inputs for Backtesting:

Instruments_To_Trade: This is the most important setting for testing.

To test NQ, you must set this to NQ_Only.

To test YM, you must set this to YM_Only.

NQ_Trading_Model / YM_Trading_Model: Choose which of the pre-configured models you want to test (Classic_Version, The_Fool_Version, or Both_Models).

Verify Symbol Names: Make sure the Symbol_NQ and Symbol_YM inputs exactly match the symbol you selected for the test.

Click \"Start\" to run the backtest. Review the \"Graph\" and \"Backtest\" tabs for results.

Section 3: How to Use on a Live or Demo Account

The EA is designed for \"set and forget\" live trading.

Open any 1-Minute (M1) chart (it can be EURUSD, a stock, or anything).

Attach The Fool EA to that single M1 chart.

Configure the Inputs:

Instruments_To_Trade: Set this to Both_NQ_and_YM if you want to trade both instruments.

Symbol_NQ and Symbol_YM: CRITICAL: Enter the exact symbol names your broker uses for the NASDAQ and Dow Jones indices. You can find these names in your \"Market Watch\" window.

NY_Session_Start_Hour_24H / ...Minute: Set the time correctly as explained below.

Risk_Per_Trade_Percent: Set your desired risk.

Ensure the \"Algo Trading\" button in your terminal's toolbar is enabled (green).

The EA will now run in the background, automatically monitoring and placing trades on NQ and YM when the conditions are met, even though it's only attached to one chart.

Section 4: Explanation of User Inputs

Disclaimer: A simple reminder. This does not affect the EA's function.

NY_Session_Start_Hour_24H / NY_Session_Start_Minute: This is the most critical setting. You must tell the EA what 9:30 AM New York time is on your broker's chart. You must use the 24-hour format.

Example: If you look at your chart and see that the 9:30 NY open corresponds to 4:30 PM, you must enter 16 for the hour and 30 for the minute.

Risk_Per_Trade_Percent: The EA uses dynamic lot sizing. It will automatically calculate the correct lot size for each trade so that if the Stop Loss is hit, you will lose approximately this percentage of your account equity.

Instruments_To_Trade: Choose which markets the EA should be active on.

Symbol_NQ / Symbol_YM: Enter the symbol names from your broker. This is essential for the EA to find and trade the correct instruments.

The results of the neural network's assessment of the current market state are displayed in the log every hour. This way, you can have an idea of future trades at the start of the new day. This information is also included in the trade commentary.

Data from Admiral Markets servers over the past 8 years was used to train the networks. The Expert Advisor also works well with other brokers. Specifically, tests were conducted with ICMarkets and FxPro.

The Expert Advisor is ready to work without any additional settings with a minimum balance of 1,000 USD.

By default, Money Management is disabled (\"Enable Money Management\" = false) and a fixed lot size of 0.1 is used (\"Fixed Volume when Money Management is disabled\" = 0.1). When enabling Money Management (\"Enable Money Management\" = true), keep in mind that margin requirements depend on leverage: the higher the leverage, the lower the required margin, and, accordingly, the larger the position size and the greater the risk. Instead of digging through the terminal’s trade or account history tabs, this tool builds a live dashboard that displays all open and recently closed trades, filtered by magic number and time period. It is built specifically for traders and developers who use automated strategies and want an instant visual overview of performance per Expert Advisor, symbol, or time window.

Once attached to any chart, the indicator analyses all open positions and trade history from the account, applying two main filters: the chosen magic number and the look back period in days.

Setting the magic number to zero displays every trade, allowing a global overview of account activity. Setting a specific magic number isolates one strategy or EA.

The look back filter defines how far back the analysis goes—traders can choose to see all history or focus only on recent days. The indicator updates every few seconds rather than on every tick, ensuring that the chart remains responsive even with hundreds of historical deals.

The information layout is clean and hierarchical.

At the top, Magic History prints a header summarizing the current settings, such as which magic number and time period are being monitored. Below this header, if enabled, appears a list of open positions. Each open trade is displayed with its ticket number, symbol, order type (BUY or SELL), volume, open price, stop loss, take profit, and current floating profit or loss. Profitable trades are coloured lime, losing ones red, making it easy to gauge account exposure at a glance. The open positions area concludes with totals showing the number of open trades and total floating P&L.

The closed trades section works similarly but focuses on deals that have already been completed within the selected look back period. Each trade shows the symbol, direction, entry and exit prices, lot size, profit, magic number, and closing time. The list is ordered from the most recent to the oldest, allowing you to scroll through recent trade activity directly on the chart. The closed trades portion automatically caps the display to prevent overcrowding, which keeps the on-screen layout readable even for very active accounts.

At the bottom of the display, Magic History produces a dynamic summary report that updates automatically. It calculates total closed trades, total open trades, combined net profit, floating profit, win rate, and profit factor. It also compiles a list of symbols that were traded under the selected magic number. These performance metrics give an immediate sense of strategy efficiency and trading diversity without the need to export reports or run external analysis. The summary section adapts its colours based on whether the overall performance is positive or negative, so a quick glance is enough to read the trading health.

Unlike static account reports, this indicator is alive: every five seconds it checks for new trades, updated profit, or changing history. When nothing new happens, it quietly updates the timestamp to show when the data was last refreshed. This reduces CPU load and avoids flickering or lag on the chart. When trades are opened or closed, or when you change the magic number or look back period, the display automatically refreshes and rebuilds itself.

The interface is controlled by a small group of intuitive inputs. You can specify the magic number, how many days of history to analyse, the font size, colours for profit and loss, and where on the chart the information should appear. You can also choose whether to show open trades, closed trades, or both. The indicator is intentionally non-intrusive: all text is drawn as chart labels, which means it never interferes with price candles or other indicators. The design aims for clarity and function rather than decoration, making it suitable for both discretionary and algorithmic traders who value clean visual data.

Under the hood, Magic History is efficient and self-contained. It uses the MetaTrader 5 trade and history functions directly, without dependencies or external libraries. What This Indicator Does NOT Do

This is not a buy/sell signal generator. It doesn't tell you when to enter or exit trades automatically.

What This Indicator DOES Do

Early Reversal Detector identifies shifts in price behavior to pinpoint optimal entry points with precision.

How It Works

The indicator creates candles in a separate panel that look similar to price candles on your main chart - but with a crucial difference:

Regular chart candles form with every single tick movement.

Early Reversal Detector candles only form when price jumps by your specified threshold amount.

For example: If you set the threshold to \"5\" on EURUSD, the indicator only registers a tick when price moves 0.00005 or more between ticks. Smaller movements are filtered out entirely.

Why does this matter?

By filtering out noise and focusing only on significant price movements, you can see the real pressure behind price action. This reveals something critical that most traders miss:

Even when substantial volume enters against the current trend, price often continues in the original direction for 1-2 more bars before reversing.

Early Reversal Detector catches this shift approximately 1-2 bars BEFORE the actual reversal occurs on your main chart.

The Story Behind This Indicator

I originally developed this indicator to identify high-volume trades in Forex markets (since Forex lacks the volume data available in Futures markets). But like Viagra being discovered while researching heart medication, I discovered something far more valuable:

This indicator is extraordinarily effective at catching reversal points.

For the past two years, I've used it exclusively for this purpose. While you'll discover multiple ways to use this tool, reversal detection is where it truly shines - so much so that other applications pale in comparison.

How To Use It

The indicator offers two powerful entry strategies:

Strategy 1: Conservative Approach (Dual Confirmation)

Wait until you see potential reversal patterns in price action on your main chart
Critical Step: Even if price appears to be reversing on the main chart, if the indicator panel is still showing downward movement, the pressure hasn't shifted yet - stay out
Look for a proper reversal pattern in the indicator panel itself - this could be a doji followed by 2 bullish candles, or any classic price action reversal signal
Only enter when BOTH panels confirm the reversal

This approach gives you the highest probability setups with maximum confidence.

Strategy 2: Aggressive Approach (Early Entry)

Watch the indicator panel for reversal signals
If you see a reversal pattern in the indicator panel BUT the main chart hasn't reversed yet, you can enter immediately to catch price at the absolute bottom
This works because the indicator often signals the reversal 1-2 bars BEFORE it appears on the main chart

Why does this work? The indicator detects the fundamental change in price behavior - the shift in pressure - before it becomes obvious in regular price action.

Both strategies give you incredible confidence with tight stop-losses. Because you're entering at the precise point where pressure shifts, your stops can be much tighter than traditional entries. Tighter stops mean you can trade with larger position sizes while maintaining proper risk management.

Settings Guide

The indicator offers two filtering modes:

Manual Threshold (Advanced Users)

threshold: Enter a specific point value (e.g., 5 for 0.00005 movement)
When set above 0, this overrides the Auto Filter
Gives you direct control over sensitivity

Auto Filter (Recommended for Most Users)

When Manual Threshold = 0, the indicator automatically calculates optimal thresholds based on recent price behavior.

Four Filter Levels:

Whale: Only extreme price jumps (strongest filter) - Best for catching major reversals
Tsunami: Large movements (strong filter) - Balanced approach for significant moves
Wave: Moderate changes (default) - Good all-around sensitivity
Whisper: Small movements (most sensitive) - Catches subtle shifts

Display Settings

Customize candle colors (Neutral/Bullish/Bearish)
max_bar_to_look_back: Number of historical bars to display (default: 100)

Pro Tip: Start with the \"Wave\" auto filter. Adjust to \"Tsunami\" or \"Whale\" if you're getting too many signals, or \"Whisper\" if you're missing reversals.

Important Notes:

This indicator works on timeframes up to Daily (D1). It requires tick data analysis and is not supported on Weekly or Monthly timeframes.
First Load: When you first add the indicator to your chart, it analyzes historical tick data for all lookback bars. This may take a few moments to complete - the processing time depends on your max_bar_to_look_back setting. Higher values will take longer to initialize.
