How the EA Works

Placing a Signal: Click [Set Signal] on the control panel and place an arrow (up for Buy or down for Sell) on the chart at the desired point.
Recording a Signal: Click [Record signal], and the EA will save the selected indicator values (RSI, CCI, DeMarker, WPR) for the last three bars at the moment the arrow is placed.
Trading & Optimization: In real-time or in the strategy tester, the EA monitors for matches between current indicator values and saved templates. If the match exceeds the set threshold (default 60%), a position is opened in the direction of the signal. Optimization in the strategy tester is recommended for adapting to specific instruments and timeframes.

LookbackPeriod : The number of historical candlesticks used to determine the highest and lowest price range for the volume zones. A larger value creates broader zones and more stable volume profiles.
ZoneWidthPct (Zone Width (% of Range)): The percentage of the total price range allocated to each volume zone. A smaller value makes zones narrower, focusing on extremes; a larger value expands the zones to cover more volume.
BinsPerZone : The number of horizontal bins (bars) in each volume zone. More bins provide finer granularity for the volume histogram.
UpperZoneColor : The background color for the upper volume zone.
LowerZoneColor : The background color for the lower volume zone.

VRPFV provides deep insights into market behavior and can be applied in various trading strategies:

Identifying Market State: Trend or Range?
- Ranging Market (Balance): When the Value Areas (VA) of consecutive sessions overlap or are similar, it indicates that the market is in an accumulation or distribution phase. Traders often look for reversal trading opportunities at the edges of the VA (VAH and VAL).
- Trending Market (Trend): When the current session's VA significantly shifts away from the previous session's VA (e.g., today's VA is much higher than yesterday's VA in an uptrend), it signals a strong trend is underway. Traders will look for trend-following entry points, often when the price pulls back to previous VAH or VAL levels (now acting as support/resistance).
Identifying Dynamic Support and Resistance
- The VAH, VAL, and POC levels are very strong dynamic support and resistance levels. Price often tends to react when approaching these levels.
- POC: As the price level with the highest volume, it often acts as a magnet for price. Price tends to return to the POC.
- VAH/VAL: As the boundaries of the value area, they represent levels where the market begins to \"reject\" or \"accept\" new value.
Trading Strategies
- Range Trading: In a ranging market, you can sell when the price approaches VAH and buy when it approaches VAL, with the POC as a target.
- Breakout Trading: When the price breaks out of the Value Area and sustains itself outside, it signals a new trend. You can wait for a pullback to the broken VA edge to enter a trade in the direction of the breakout.
- 80% Rule: If the price opens outside the previous session's Value Area, then moves inside and stays within the VA, there is approximately an 80% chance that the price will move through the entire VA to test the opposite edge. This strategy provides clear entry, target, and stop-loss points.
Assessing Volume Pressure
- Buy/Sell Volume Labels: Help you quantify buying and selling pressure within each zone. Large buying volume in the lower zone and large selling volume in the upper zone reinforce the respective support/resistance zones.
- POC Vol %: Indicates the concentration of volume at the POC. A higher percentage suggests stronger consensus at that price level.
Fair Value Line

Sell Signal:

50 — Neutral Zone: Buyers and sellers display similar volatility. Most often indicates a range or transition phase.
50–70 — Growing Bullish Strength: Increasing buyer dominance; early stage of an uptrend.
70–100 — Buyer Dominance: Strong bullish momentum.

However, volatility may become overheated → higher correction risk.

How to Use ATR Plus in Trading

1. Trend Direction Filter

Long: ATR Plus above 55–60
Short: ATR Plus below 45–40
Range: between 45–55

2. Determining Trend Strength

Fast breakout from 40 -> 70 = start of a bullish impulse
Drop from 60 -> 30 = bearish trend development
Long stay around 50 = range/accumulation

3. Breakout Confirmation

A breakout is more reliable if ATR Plus supports the direction.
If the breakout goes against ATR Plus — chances of a false move are high.

Introduction

The SDS_TradeManager EA is a powerful EA designed to manage your positions once you have been filled. It basically works a break-even stop and also a trailing stop where the trigger levels and trail levels are all specified in \"R's\", that is to say multiples of the initial trade risk. Many successful professional traders think about all their trades and profit taking in terms of multiples of the initial risk R. So for example, if your initial risk on your trade is 50 pips and you want to move to break-even at \"2R\" then this price level trigger wold be 2 x 50 pips = 100 pips. Similarly for the same trade, you might want to start trailing at 5R and to trail by 2R which would mean that at 250 pips profit you would start trailing your stop loss by 100 pips.

How to use the EA

You basically add the EA to your chart at the start of your trading session where it will sit dormant until it finds an open position on your chart which has a stop-loss attached to it. Please note that without a stop-loss it's impossible for the EA to work out what the initial risk (or R) of the trade is so it can't manage the trade. As soon as it finds such a trade it plots all the R levels for trade (showing the various multiples of the initial risk that the trade might attain if it goes your way). It also marks where the break-even will trigger as well as where the trail will activate as well. You can configure many details of how all this works including the granularity of the adjustments of the trail (e.g. only adjust the trail every 0.5R etc.) and whether the trail is adjusted on an intrabar basis or only on the close of the bar. All the configuration details are explained below.

Input Parameters

BE_R: the R level at which the stop-loss is moved to break-even. Note if you don't want to use this functionality then simply make this a very large value

TrlStart_R: the R level at which the trailing stop activates. Note if you don't want to use this functionality then simply make this a very large value

TrlSize_R: this is the amount in R's by which the stop-loss trails behind the market. So a value of 1.5 will trail the stop-loss 1.5 times the initial risk behind the extreme of the move so far

TrlAdj_R: this is the \"granularity\" of the adjustments to the trailing stop. So with a value of 0.5R here then the stop-loss will only be adjusted every 0.5R and in between this amount no adjustment will be made. If this is set to 0.0 then the stop will be adjusted immediately for every new extreme in the market move.

StopType: this is either \"Intrabar\" or \"OnClose\". If the former is selected then every tick the stop is checked to see if it needs adjusting. If the latter is selected then adjustments are only made on the close of each bar

ShowEntryAndStop: if set to true then the EA will draw in the entry and initial stop-loss levels as part of the drawing of the R levels.

ShowRLevels: if set to true then the R levels for the trade will be plotted.

RInterval: this specifies the increment in the R levels for when they are drawn

RLast: this specified the last R value for when they are drawn

NumBarsWidth: this specifies the length of the R-levels plots (in bars) that the lines are drawn

DeleteLinesOnTradeClose: if set to true then the plot lines are removed once the trade is closed. If set to false then they will remain on the chart after the end of the trade

DeleteLinesOnEARemoval: if set to true then the plot lines are removed once the EA is removed from the chart. If set to false then they will remain on the chart after the EA is removed.

LineThickness: this specifies the thickness of the R level plot lines

Line_Colour: this specifies the colour of the R level plot lines

LineStyle: this specifes the style (e.g. solid, dotted etc.) of the R level plot lines

Font_size: this specifies the size of the font that is used to label the R level plot lines

Font_type: this specifies the font that is used to label the R level plot lines

Font_Colour: this specifies the colour of the font that is used to label the R level plot lines

TakeProfit: How many points to get the profit (in pips)
StopLoss: How many points for loss in the trade (in pips)
UseFractalSL: Use fractals to activate stoploss
UseCandleSL: Use Candle to activate stoploss
TrailingStop: How many points to start trailling (in pips)
TimeFilter: Use time frame? (Recommended for daytrade)
TimerStart: Time you want to start operations (HH: MM format)
TimerEnd: Time to close operations (HH: MM format) (If there are open positions, these will be closed)
MagicNumber: Self-explanatory
Slippage: Self-explanatory
ProfitDay: Amount to close deals on the day
UseFractal: Use Fractal along with the rules of Theobaldo
DistanceCandle: Fractal Parameter A
buyOut: Fractal Parameter B
mySpread: Risk at the entrance with the fractal (Distance in pips the signal until the deal)
