The 9-5 Count is designed to track a very powerful cycle that runs through all freely traded \r\nmarkets. This is not a time cycle but a price cycle. The time spent between two points is not as important as the price traveled between them. \r\n

The 9-5 Count is called that because one complete upward cycle consists of measurement of 9 units \r\nplus 5 units of cycle time. This tool takes into account price and pattern together, so it’s \r\nmore than just a simple cycle.\r\n

The 9-5 theory classifies market movements into two phases. We can call the first phase the trend \r\nphase and the second phase the blow-off phase. Congestive moves are considered as part of the trend phase.\r\n

\r\n

There’s really no guarantee about what kind of phase is going to happen next. The only thing we know is \r\nthat when turning points to happen, they’ll happen at the end of one of our phases. It can be the 9, the 5, or even some future number. In trending \r\nmarkets, we can go through a couple cycles in the same direction before we get our turning point.\r\n

How to use the 9-5 Count Indicator: look for numbers 9, 8.5 and gold 5, 4.5 as market turning points.\r\n

Also It’s really important not to focus on only one indicator. That’s a very one-dimensional \r\napproach, and one-dimensional approaches don’t work very well in trading. It’s better to use different indicators at the same time and only \r\ntrade when the majority of them come together.\r\n

PLEASE NOTE

That when the market is closed your Metatrader will stop receiving \"ticks\" from the Brokers server, so if you are calling the POCs from another SYMBOL, it could fail. Sometimes changing the timeframe on your chart will do the trick, but it is not guaranteed. This is a Metatrader limitation.

Data from the current Symbol is OK and it will work perfectly.

READING LINES FROM EA

Every line that MiniPOC generates follows the rule:

The trading system consists of two combined indicators: Moving Average and Donchian channel.

Donchian channel – designed to determine the current state of a financial instrument; the indicator is built according to the classical rules for determining a trend or flat. A new local maximum is higher than the previous one, a new local minimum is higher than the previous one, it is considered that the financial instrument is “Upward trend” A new local maximum is lower than the previous one, a new local minimum is lower than the previous one is considered that the financial instrument is “Downtrend” If we cannot apply any From the rules described above, it is considered that there is uncertainty or flat on the financial instrument.

Moving Average – moving average, designed to determine the entry point into the market. The indicator has three moving averages with different periods. Slow moving average - shows the direction to enter the market. Moving average – confirms the current trend on a financial instrument. Fast moving average – shows the entry point together with the current closed bar.

Purchase of a financial instrument:

To buy, you need to take into account the following state of the indicator: For periods of 1 hour, 4 hours and 1 day there is an upward trend according to the Donchian channel rule described above. - Three moving averages have changed color and show a growing trend. The last candle of the period closed with growth, while the low of the last candle is below the fast moving average. To sell a financial instrument, a reverse signal is taken into account.

Holding a position:

For an open position, Stop Loss, Take Profit and Trailing Stop are used: Take Profit is placed below the upper line of the Donchian channel. Stop Loss is placed below the bottom line of the Donchian channel. Trailing Stop should be placed the size of a third of the channel.

Closing a position:

According to Trailing Stop, if a position volume is greater than the minimum lot, it is possible to close part of the position and transfer the rest without loss. Based on the opposite signal of the trading strategy.

General recommendations.

Start analyzing a financial instrument from older periods of 4 hours, 1 day.
Always set Stop Loss and Take Profit, protect your position by any method, the main thing is not to receive losses more than 1-2% of the deposit.
Let your profits grow, use partial closing of the position, transfer the balances to no loss and leave them for a long time.
Work with several financial instruments, so you will receive more signals for trading.

Each next (major) \r\nwave level is built on the basis of the previous (minor) wave level according to the procedure below (see the \r\nsection entitled \"Z‑like and T‑like structures\"). For example, the level W2 is built on the basis of the wave level W1.

Parameters

The indicator has the \r\nfollowing main parameters:

Base Mono W0 line: Channel Width in Points – zero \r\n wave level: channel width in points;
Base Mono W0 line: Channel Width in Percents – zero \r\n wave level: channel width in percents;
Draw MultiWave lines – how many wave levels to \r\n display;
Show W0 labels – show (or not) wave marking for \r\n zero wave level;
Show W1 – what to show for the first wave level: \r\n only its line, or only its marking, or both, or not show anything;
Show W2 – analogically, to what to show for \r\n the second wave level;
Show W3 – same for third level;
Show W4 – same for the fourth.

The first two \r\nparameters are used to adjust the zero (base) wave level. Since the Mono Waves indicator (the link to which is given above) is used as \r\nthis zero level, these two parameters are factually the settings for this indicator.

In addition to the \r\nspecified parameters, there are also parameters: for choosing the color, as well as the thickness and line style for each of the wave levels \r\nW1 – W4.

\r\n

Z‑like \r\nand T‑like structures

\r\n

In order to understand \r\nthe principle of operation of this indicator, should first recall one of the classic definitions of a trend. For the up trend: “Each next top \r\nis higher than the previous top, and each next bottom is also higher than the previous bottom” (see slide 3a). For \r\na trend down, this definition will be the opposite: “Each next top is lower than the previous top, and each next bottom is also lower than the \r\nprevious bottom” (see slide 3b).

\r\n

And if you slightly \r\nchange the first of these definitions, for example, this way: \"Each next top is higher than the previous top, and each next bottom is lower \r\n(and not higher) than the previous bottom\". What will happen then? \r\nThis will be some expanding formation (see slide 3c). This figure, undoubtedly, refers to one of the variants of the sideways \r\ntrend (i.e., it does not refers to the upward or downward trend).

Since the Mono Waves indicator \r\nis completely dependent on the operation of the PPPC indicator, it has exactly the same parameters as the latter.

Track lines

\r\n

In addition to the main monowave \r\nline, this indicator has track lines. At the first start of the indicator, they are not visible. But they can be turned on (visualized) by \r\nspecifying for them a color other than transparent, for example, blue. After they are turned on, the indicator will look like shown in \r\nslide 3.

\r\n

Why are these lines needed? There \r\nare at least three reasons to see them on the chart. \r\nFirst, these lines show the trajectory along which the right end of the mono-wave line segment moves in the process of its formation (as \r\nnew bars appear). In fact, the lines of the track - this is the real mono-wave line. This is especially evident if you turn off the \r\ndisplay of the main mono-wave line (by switching its color to transparent), while leaving only the display of the lines of the track. See \r\nslide 4.

\r\nSecondly, the track lines show the moments at which a mono-wave line breaks, i.e. the construction of the \r\nprevious segment is stopped and the construction of a new (oppositely directed) segment begins. To see this better, add the PPPC indicator \r\nprice line display to the track lines. See slide 5. On this slide, the lines (i.e. borders) of the \r\nprice channel are shown by thin blue lines, and the lines of the track by thick blue lines. As you can see on this slide, the lines of the track \r\nalways move along one of the boundaries of the channel (either upper or lower).Sometimes track lines jump from one channel boundary to \r\nanother. If non-zero values are set in both parameters, then the channel width will be calculated as the sum of two numbers (value as a \r\npercentage of the current price plus the specified value in points).

Using the indicator in trading

\r\n

\r\nThe first method of trading is based on breaking through one of the borders of the channel.

\r\n

For example, if the price moved up, then when it is reversed (i.e., when touching the lower boundary of the channel), you should perform \r\na sale (Sell). Next, you should remain in a short position until the price turns up (i.e. until the price touches the upper border of the \r\nchannel).

\r\n

It should be noted that implementing such a trading strategy is quite simple. To do this, when the price moves up, you need to set a \r\nsliding sell order, which will move along the lower border of the channel. As soon as the price turns down (i.e., touches the lower border), \r\nthe order will trigger and a short position will open. Immediately after this, you should set a moving stop loss (trailing stop), \r\nwhich should move along the upper border of the channel. As soon as the price reverses upward (i.e., touches the upper border), the stop loss \r\nwill trigger and the position will close. See slide 3.

To implement the entry into a long position (Buy), you should perform similar mirror-opposite actions. See slide 4.

\r\nThe second method of trading is based on the rebound of the price from both borders of the channel.

What do you see on the chart?

\r\n

The first line:

\r\n

Shows the indicator being used i.e. RSI, ADX and Stochastics are supported right now.

\r\n

It also shows any key paramters for the indicator i.e. Period Length, Smoothing, etc.

\r\n

It also shows the timeframes being used. The current chart period will be highlighted by default.

\r\n

The second line through to the tenth line:

\r\n

Shows the indicator range being used to compare the current value of the indcator with i.e. 50-59, 60-69, etc.

\r\n

It then shows the level bars for each timeframe for the indicator in question i.e. based on the RSI values

\r\n

Grey level bars mean the value didnt reach that level.

\r\n

Colored level bars are shown going from dark red (low value) through to light green (high value).

\r\n

The level bars will rise and fall depending upon the current value of the indicator.

\r\n

It acts just like the graphic equaliser on your stereo does depending on the loudness of the music only we are using the indicator values \r\ninstead.

The last line:

Shows the actual values of the indicator being used for each timeframe.
