The convetional VSA (Volume Spread Analysis) studies interconnections of price action and volume change in absolute values, whereas WPR (Williams Percent Range) offers a convenient approach of price moves normalization into the fixed percentage metric: 0 - 100%.

Now the new oscillator - VDPR (Volume Delta Percent Range) does the same for volume delta analysis using the following formula:

VDPR = (buy volume) / ((buy volume) + (sell volume)) * 100

where both types of volumes are accumulated separately for predefined number of recent bars.

The formula was used in past for volume wave analysis. VDPR reconsiders it for bar-wise volume delta analysis.

Algo-traders had a limited level of details about volumes in past. Specifically, quotes contained total volume per bar (in addition to OHLC), but volume delta information was missing. To overcome this limitation traders invented workarounds for volume delta analysis, such as the one based on zigzag waves, built on price. Having a zigzag, it's easy to assume that the sum of all volumes during upward edge constitutes buying volumes, whereas the sum on downward edge is the selling volumes. Hence, one can accumulate the buying and selling parts for several waves (usually collected for 5 days or more) and find an estimation of the volume delta.

This is only a rough estimation, used in past due to the lack of other, more precise methods. In reality, the volume breakdown between buyers and sellers does not follow price waves all the time. Instead, price and volume tend to show divergencies now and then, and this is considered very strong predictive signal for price reversal. Yet if you estimate volumes based on zigzag, you add artificial dependency of volumes from price, damping potential signals.

Today, algo-trading software such as MetaTrader 5 allows us to download deep tick history for every instrument (including single trade volume and direction) and build fine-grained volume delta per bar or any required interval. Moreover, using the tick-level volumes we can calculate (1) exact volume delta on every hypothetical zigzag edge and compare it with old estimation based on (2) straightforward unidirectional summation. For example, VolumeDeltaWaves indicator supports these 2 modes under the options: \"signed\" and \"absolute\" cumulative wave respectively.

Certainly, the signed accumulation preserves more info and provides more accurate results. This mode means summation of volume deltas from every bar with respect of their own sign, regardless of direction of corresponding edge. Then the sum of waves' volumes becomes equivalent to the sum of included bars' volumes. As a result, zigzag waves are not required anymore

VDPR is shown as a line with 3 colors: red in upper part, green in lower part, and blue in the middle. The sections are adjusted by UpperLevel, LowerLevel parameters. As an option, VDPR can display cumulative buy and sell volumes \"as is\", and separate deltas per bar.

Parameters

AccumulationPeriod - number of bars for buy/sell volume delta accumulation, 11 by default;
TickHistoryBars - number of bars to preload tick history to process, 0 by default, which means to start from the day beginning; this parameter is important for history analysis only, because all new ticks are processed online automatically; choose large numbers with caution, because deep history of ticks may take a while to download and require additional space on the local disk;
Method - buy/sell volume detection method: price move by only one of 2 specific price types (Ask vs Bid), middle price (Ask + Bid) change, according to tick flags (Tick Flags, applicable for exchanges only), specific price type (Bid or Last, according to chart's building) change;
ShowDeltaSplit - one of visualization methods: the ratio in 100% range (VDPR, by default), Cumulative Buy and Sell Volume, Buy and Sell Volume per bar;
UpperLevel - the upper level to highlight VDPR in red - too much buys; 55 by default;
LowerLevel - the lower level to highlight VDPR in green - too much sells; 45 by default;

The VIDYA moving average will give you the general sentiment of the market when prices are above or below it. As with all indicators, you need to calibrate the Trend Momentum MA to your liking (i.e. Symbol, Timeframe and your strategy).
The Momentum part of this indicator will show you, through a series of 3 Variable Weight Moving Averages (VWMA), the current situation of the market. So they will color the VIDYA line accordingly.
In order to make the calibration of Momentum reading easy, we added a \"Calibration Mode\" inside the indicator, showing where in the Chart the VWMAs are being plotted.
The Momentum \"colors\" will show you the temporary Bullish and Bearish periods happening in your chart. Light colors represent in general periods of indecision (accumulation/distribution) and strong colors represent the Bullish and Bearish Momentum.

The Awesome RSI takes the RSI data values and uses them in the Bollinger Bands calculations, so the \"Bands\" represent the volatility of the RSI! With this approach we can improve the measurements of peaks and the trend itself.

The indicator itself offers a myriad of readings as you can see for yourself in the video and on the screenshots below.

HOW TO \"READ\" THIS INDICATOR

Now Overbought and Oversold levels can be read through the Upper and Lower bands of the Bollinger Bands. For easy reading you can choose between 3 types of filtering: simple Bands crossing, Bands Crossing + RSI above/below your desired Overbought and Oversold levels, and Bands crossing + RSI and Bands above/below your desired Overbought and Oversold levels.
You can draw manual trendlines over peaks and valleys on the indicator to monitor early breakouts of the current trend.
You can also draw or visually spot divergencies between the peaks and valleys of the indicator and the Prices on you chart.
You can monitor the Middle Band line crossing to early spot changes in the trend.
Also, the Middle Band changes its color when the market is in an Uptrend or a Downtrend.

All of the readings above are possible if you CALIBRATE this indicator properly to you Trading Style / Asset / Timeframe.

Usually their stop-losses are placed above or below the boundaries of the \"Range\". This is where we say we have an \"Open Range\" because all market participants can actively enter positions and trade the distance between the two extremes that define the upper and lower boundaries of the \"Range\".

4. When enough participants accumulate in the \"Range\" with their stop-losses, some of the \"Big\" players try to close the \"Range\" of prices by exiting it at the expense of these stop-losses. If they succeed and there is a \"correction\" beyond the \"Range\", we say that the \"Open Range\" is locked by these \"Big\" players and we have a \"Range of Buyers\" or a \"Range of Sellers\".

5. If another portion of the \"Big\" players decide they don't like it and returns the price to the \"Range\" and tests a minimum of 75% of the distance between the two extremes that define the boundaries of the \"Range\", then we say we have an \"Extension\" of the boundaries of the \"Open Range\". In this case, the distance between the upper and lower boundaries of the \"Open Range\" is updated, and a new range test distance of 75% is determined.

6. If these “Big” players fail to return the price to at least 75% after exiting the range, then we say that there is a struggle for dominance between different groups of \"Big\" players. This usually happens at the upper or lower boundaries of the \"Open Range\" and between the bearish or bullish \"limit orders\" barriers. Then we say that we have an \"Expansion\" of sellers or an \"Expansion\" of buyers.

7. According to our experience with the indicator, the best places to enter a position are in the \"limit orders\" barrier areas in the direction of the trend. For example, if we have a downtrend, we are looking for a sell entry in the \"limit orders\" barrier area of sellers, and accordingly, if we have an uptrend, we are looking for a buy entry in the \"limit orders\" barrier area of buyers. Of course, all our decisions must be confirmed by other indicators in these zones.

What the indicator shows:

\"Red\" rectangles show \"Ranges of Sellers\", where buyers remain in a \"Locked-in Range\", and sellers win. If you place a volume profile in a \"Range of Sellers\", in the area below the \"POC\" volume, there are buyers in a \"Locked-in Range\".

\"Blue\" rectangles show \"Ranges of Buyers\", where sellers remain in a \"Locked-in Range\", and buyers win. If you place a volume profile in a \"Range of Buyers\", in the area above the \"POC\" volume there are sellers in a \"Locked-in Range\".

\"Dashed\" rectangles show closed \"Ranges\"—the places where the price absorbed the volumes in the ranges.

\"Yellow\" lines show the upper and lower boundaries of the \"Open Range\"—it is not yet determined whether this will be a range of buyers or sellers. The \"Open Range\" is a new and not yet finished range. In it, positions are recruited for the \"Big\" players, there is a struggle for initiative between the \"Big\" players, and various tools are used in the confrontation between them. Unfortunately, this is also the place where \"non-professional\" market participants lose their money because they don't understand the processes that go on in the range.

\"Barriers of \"limit orders\" are structures designed to restrict price movement in any direction by constantly placing limit orders against the movement. They are typically observed above and below accumulation (range, balance). Barriers of \"limit orders\" are very similar in functionality to Iceberg orders, which can be tracked on other trading platforms. Instead of the price breaking through a level, the volume of limit orders at that price level \"renews\" again and again. The \"Time & Sales\" tape shows a flurry of aggressive trades, but the price stays in place. This is a signal of strong passive interest. The price will not move until the entire hidden volume is executed or canceled. For the market, this represents a powerful barrier. Often after this, the price makes a sharp impulse, as the resistance has disappeared.\"

In combination with the \"MR Reversal Patterns 5\" indicator, you can see how buyers and sellers are distributed in the \"Range\". Since every trader waits for confirmation that their market entry is correct, the appearance of \"Reversal Patterns\" in the \"Range\" forms the accumulation of open positions in a place that we define as a \"Point of Control\" in the Volume Profile of the Range \". During the movement of the price in a trend, you can see how \"Balances\" are formed according to the \"Auction Market Theory\".

In combination with the \"MR Volume POC Levels 5\" indicator, you can see where important volumes are left after the exit from the \"Balances\" and \"Ranges\". In addition, you can see how the volumes are absorbed in the \"Range\" and accumulate positions of buyers and sellers.

In combination with the \"MR Volume Profile 5\" indicator, you can see where the places with the highest concentration of open positions are. In the \"Range of Sellers\", buyers remain in the \"Locked-in Range\"—in the area below the \"POC\" volume, while in the \"Range of Buyers\", sellers remain in the \"Locked-in Range\"—in the area above the \"POC\" volume.

In combination with the \"Volumes and Sentiments 5\" indicator, you can see the \"Sentiments\" inside the range. When we also have an \"Expansion\" of the sellers or the buyers, you can see the imbalance of all participants in the range relative to those in the \"Expansion\".

In combination with the \"Pullbacks on Trend 5\" indicator, you can track the places where the volumes accumulate in the \"Balances\" and \"Ranges\" along the trend. Then, the volumes of these places are absorbed in the \"Correction\" movements.

Note:
There may be slight differences between the figures that are drawn on the chart of the time frame that you selected in the indicator settings and the figures that are drawn on the chart of the smaller time frames. This is related to the decomposition of the bar from the selected time frame to the smaller time frames. The bar of the selected time frame has a different structure than the smaller time frames. Estrategia de indicadores

El indicador consta de dos osciladores diferentes:

Línea de tendencia lenta (gruesa): cuando el nivel alto del indicador cruza de arriba hacia abajo, es un indicador de una tendencia bajista, cuando el nivel horizontal inferior (nivel bajo del indicador) cruza de abajo hacia arriba, es un indicador de una tendencia alcista. Además, encontrar una línea lenta en la zona inferior indica que la tendencia actual es bajista, y viceversa, encontrar una línea lenta por encima del nivel superior indica que la tendencia actual es ascendente. Así es como el indicador determina la tendencia actual del mercado.

Línea de entrada rápida (delgada): identifica puntos de entrada en la intersección de la línea inferior de abajo hacia arriba, estas son señales de compra, al cruzar la línea superior de arriba hacia abajo, esta es una señal de venta. Es importante ajustar las líneas del indicador además de las líneas del oscilador, ya que esto afecta el número y la precisión de las señales.

El producto utiliza diferentes osciladores para mostrar la línea lenta y rápida, cada uno debe ajustarse por separado.

Para facilitar la operación, el indicador muestra la dirección de la tendencia en el panel de múltiples períodos de tiempo y coloca las entradas en el gráfico en forma de flechas. También agregamos notificaciones de señales entrantes e indicadores.
