Settings and Inputs:

Default settings are recommended for all assets. This indicator can be used on all listed assets, futures, stocks, forex, commodities, crypto or indices. The Strategy is mainly used on H4 and H1 and use m15 to trade in the same direction as the higher time frames.

Trading with Trend Ai Indicator. The signal is simple and immediate. As soon as the green dot and the blue arrow appears it means that a buy trading signal is active. Confirm with higher time frames if trend is up. The trader can then open a buy order and place the SL under the green dot. If the opposite signal appears the trader can either move the SL to break-even and watch the higher time frames to see if trend is still valid or close the trade and wait for the next signal according to direction of trend.

The same applies for sell orders. As soon as the red dot and red arrow appears and trader confirmed with higher time frames that trend is down, the trader can place a sell order and move the SL above the red dot. If the opposite signal appears the trader can either move the SL to break-even and watch the higher time frames to see if trend is still valid or close the trade and wait for the next signal according to direction of trend.

It identifies the Mother Bar at the start of the consolidation and then monitors the subsequent price action, waiting for a decisive breakout from that entire consolidation pattern. It effectively analyzes the whole structure, not just a single Inside Bar.
Market Meaning: This pattern indicates a drop in volatility and market indecision. A breakout from the Mother Bar's range often signals the start of the next directional move.

2. Outside Bar (OB)

An Outside Bar, also known as an Engulfing Bar, signals a sudden expansion of volatility and a decisive power shift between buyers and sellers.

Definition: An Outside Bar is a candle whose price range completely engulfs the range of the preceding candle. In this case, the Outside Bar itself is the Mother Bar.
Market Meaning: This pattern often occurs at significant market turning points or during high-impact news events. It shows a strong conviction in one direction that has completely overwhelmed the previous market sentiment.

3. Breakout Logic

The scanner's core function is not just to find the patterns, but to wait for a confirmed breakout from the Mother Bar. This confirmation has a very specific rule implemented in the indicator:

A valid breakout is confirmed only when a candle closes above the Mother Bar's high or closes below the Mother Bar's low.

This is a critical distinction. A candle's wick (its high or low) can temporarily pierce the Mother Bar's range, but if the candle does not close outside of it, the indicator will not register it as a breakout. It waits for a decisive close, which serves as a stronger confirmation of the market's intent.

4. Breakout Types: Reversal vs. Continuation

This is the most crucial part of the indicator's logic. Every detected breakout is automatically classified based on its context within the recent price action. This is done by checking if the pattern formed at a significant short-term high or low.

Reversal Breakout
- What it means: A signal that the market may be reversing its recent short-term direction. The breakout occurs against the prevailing momentum.
- Logic:
  - The pattern formed at a local low, and the price broke out upwards (Green arrow ▲ ).
  - The pattern formed at a local high, and the price broke out downwards (Red arrow ▼ ).
Continuation Breakout
- What it means: A signal that a potential reversal has failed, and the breakout is continuing the original market direction. It can be seen as a sign of trend strength.
- Logic:
  - The pattern formed at a local high, but the price broke out upwards anyway (Teal arrow ▲ ).
  - The pattern formed at a local low, but the price broke out downwards anyway (Brown arrow ▼ ).

Interpreting the Panel and Legend

The indicator's dashboard is its main interface, displaying a grid of instruments and timeframes.

Rows: Financial instruments.
Columns: Timeframes.
· (dot) symbol: Indicates there is no active breakout signal for that instrument and timeframe.
▲ or ▼ symbol: Indicates a breakout has been detected. The color of the arrow defines its type (reversal vs. continuation), as explained by the legend.
Tooltip: Hovering the mouse cursor over any symbol in the table will display detailed information about the signal (e.g., \"EURUSD H1 - IB - Reversal Breakout down\").

At the bottom of the panel, a legend clearly explains the meaning of the arrow colors.

Pattern Logic

Detect Inside Bar
Set to true if you want the indicator to search for Inside Bar patterns.
Detect Outside Bar
Set to true if you want the indicator to search for Outside Bar patterns.
Number of past bars to check
This sets how far back (in candles) the indicator will search for the last IB or OB pattern to check for a breakout.
Number of bars for extreme check
This is a key parameter that defines the period for identifying local highs and lows. It directly influences whether a breakout is classified as a Reversal or Continuation . A smaller value means higher sensitivity to very short-term extremes.

Enable alerts
Enables ( true ) or disables ( false ) pop-up alerts in the terminal when a signal is found.
Timer period in seconds (lower value = faster status updates)
Determines how often (in seconds) the indicator checks if a new candle has formed on any of the scanned timeframes. A value of 1 is optimal, ensuring a fast response without straining the system.

Panel Appearance

This section contains all parameters responsible for the visual aspect of the panel:

Subwindow number (0 = main chart): Sets the window where the panel will appear (0 = main chart window).
Panel X-coordinate / Panel Y-coordinate: The position of the panel on the chart.
Font size in the panel: The font size for the text in the table and legend.

Each time a signal is generated, AO-Alert mt5 draws a colored arrow on the chart at the bar where the signal occurred.
The type, color, and position of the arrow help you instantly recognize the trading situation:

Before buying robots, if you don't try to understand how the robot works (strategy), and you use someone's backtest settings to trade, when the robot is in drawdown, you will want to change the inputs settings at every moment. In real account, stop changing the settings, when the robot loses a few trades.
A bot can be profitable depending on the backtest with a broker, then if you change brokers and then do another backtest with the same durations and settings, the bot will no longer be profitable. This is because brokers do not have the same spreads, commissions and swaps. For your backtests, choose brokers, which have small spreads, commissions and swaps, because it has an impact on your profitability. I use the brokers Exness, and IC Market. It's not a broker recommendation that I'm making, make your own choice.

If you want to know, if a robot maked money or not in the past, do the backtest. Stop drawing conclusions in your mind. After buying a bot, 1 month is insufficient, to conclude that a bot is profitable or not. Do your own backtest over a minimum of 10 years, on every symbol. I said to do this on every symbol, because if a bot is profitable on one symbol, it doesn't mean it will be profitable on every symbols.To do the backtest, don't use the historical data provide by brokers, because most of them have quality below 100%. If the data quality is low, it means that the results of your backtest do not accurately reflect what happened in the market.

Execution order type - enter the trade volume fill type as required by your broker.

Lot – the basic trade size in lots.

Autolot balance – the basic trade size will be adjusted according to the account balance.

Example: Lot = 0.02, Autolot balance = 400 … If your account has 2000,- then the lot size will be 0.1 (2000 ÷ 400 = 5 × 0.02 = 0.1 Lot)

Lot x - multiple of the lot for the next trade in the same direction from the previous one.

Min. distance – the minimum distance for the next trade in the same direction from the previous one.

TP2 – target Take Profit, profit in points at which the entire trade will be closed.

TP1 – profit in points at which only part of the trade will be closed.

Example: TP1 Lot % = 50, TP1 = 300, TP2 = 2000 … At a profit of 300 points, 50% of the trade will be closed. The remaining part will be closed at TP2 with a profit of 2000 points, or at SL (Trailing SL).

Trailing TP – if the trade is in a loss, the distance to TP2 will be gradually reduced.

Example: Trailing TP start loss = 500, Trailing TP distance = 800 … starting from a loss of 500 points, set TP2 at a distance of 800 points from the current price (i.e., +300 points in profit). At a 600-point loss, set TP2 at 800 points from the current price (i.e., +200 points in profit), etc. The minimum set TP2 profit is the value of BE+ below.

SL on BE – at a defined profit in points, set SL to the specified profit of BE+.

Example: SL on BE = 150, BE+ = 10 … at a profit of 150 points, set SL (secure the trade) to a profit of 10 points.

Trailing SL – if the trade is in profit, the distance to SL will be gradually reduced (limiting the potential loss).

Example: Trailing SL start profit = 200, Trailing SL distance = 300 … starting from a profit of 200 points, set SL at a distance of 300 points from the current price (i.e., -100 points in loss). At a 300-point profit, set SL 300 points from the current price (i.e., 0 points in loss). At a 400-point profit, set SL 300 points from the current price (i.e., +100 points in profit), etc.

Time closing – 150 … closes the trade after 150 minutes from opening, if the trade is not secured against loss and also not in loss.

NOTE: The above functions will only be executed if only one trade is open. If multiple trades in the same direction are open, only the \"TP all trades\" function will be executed.

TP all trades = 10 … sets a common TP2 for all trades in the same direction. All trades will close simultaneously at this shared TP2 profit in points.

Input Parameters

Settings

Cold Color: Defines the color for bullish signals (default: RGB 36, 102, 167).
Hot Color: Defines the color for bearish signals (default: RGB 202, 0, 23).
Display Mode: Selects the visualization mode: Oscillator, Overlay, or Candle (default: Oscillator Mode).
Formula: Chooses between Standard (2 Period) or Average calculation methods (default: Standard).
Source: Specifies the price data source, such as Close, Open, High, Low, Median, Typical, or Weighted (default: Close).
Exhaustion Threshold: Sets the threshold for overbought/oversold levels (default: 20).
Smoothing Type: Selects the smoothing method, including SMA, EMA, HMA, RMA, WMA, VWMA, SWMA, HighLow, Linear Regression, Median, Momentum, or Percent Rank (default: EMA).
Average Formula MA: Defines the moving average period for the Average formula (default: 3).
Highlight Crossovers: Enables/disables crossover signal plotting (default: false).
Plot Zero Line Crosses: Enables/disables zero line crossover signals (default: false).

Dual Signal Setup (Fast/Slow Lookback)

Fast Length: Sets the lookback period for the fast signal (default: 21).
Fast Smoothing Length: Defines the smoothing period for the fast signal (default: 7).
Slow Length: Sets the lookback period for the slow signal (default: 112).
Slow Smoothing Length: Defines the smoothing period for the slow signal (default: 3).

Bull Trend Start Alert: Enables/disables alerts for bullish trend starts (default: true).
