Three modes are available: False, True, Auto. In Auto mode, the filter is automatically enabled on timeframes M30 and lower; and it is disabled on timeframes greater than M30;
Display divergence alert - enables notifications about divergence, true on default;
Display cross level alert - enables notifications about crossing the specified levels of the indicator, true on default;
Draw indicator trend lines - enables displaying the trend lines of the indicator during divergence, true on default;
Draw price trend lines - enables displaying the trend lines on the price chart during divergence, true on default;
Line bull divergence color - select a color for the trend line displayed during bullish divergence, Green on default;

What is Swing Trading

Swing Trading is a style of trading that attempts to capture gains in a security within one day to a week, although some trades can eventually be kept alive for longer. Swing traders use technical analysis to buy weakness and sell strength, and have the patience to wait for these opportunities to happen, because it makes more sense to buy a security after a wave of selling has occurred rather than getting caught in a sell-off

The Opportunity Baseline

Much research on historical data has proven that markets suitable for swing trading tend to trade above and below a baseline price band, which is portrayed on the chart by a colored band, calculated using the Average True Range. The baseline is used by the swing trader, which strategy is buying normalcy and selling mania or shorting normalcy and covering depression. In absence of exhaustion patterns, the swing trader goes long at the baseline when the stock is heading up and short at the baseline when the stock is on its way down.

Swing traders are not looking to hit the home run with a single trade, they are not concerned about perfect timing to buy a stock exactly at its bottom and sell exactly at its top. In a perfect trading environment, they wait for the stock to hit its baseline and confirm its direction before they make their moves.

The story gets more complicated when a stronger uptrend or downtrend is at play on the current or higher timeframe: the trader may paradoxically go long when the stock jumps below its baseline and wait for the stock to go back up in an uptrend, or he may short a stock that has stabbed above the baseline and wait for it to drop if the longer trend is down. To this effect, the indicator displays reversals as colored dashes.

Input Parameters

Trend period - This parameter controls the sensitivity to trend changes. A big trend period will lead to longer trends being captured. A small trend period will lead to shorter trends being capture, but a faster recognition of trend changes.
Baseline period - This parameter controls the sensitivity of the baseline. The period for the baseline should always be below the trend period. Increase it to trade using a bigger opportunity band and decrease it to make it smaller.
Display swing signals - Enable this parameter to display arrows when the price retraces to the baseline and breakouts out of it.
Display corrections - Enable this parameteter to display colored dashes when the trend starts to correct.
Display the dashboard - Enable this parameter to see the multi-timeframe dashboard on the chart.
Display statistics -Enable this parameter to display the stats dashboard on the chart.
Drawing Settings -Choose your own colors and sizes for arrows and reversal dashes.
Alerts - Enable display/email/push/sound alerts for patterns.

While filling in Instruments, please, make sure you enter existing symbols. If Instruments parameter contains a symbol missing in Market Watch, the indicator tries to add it automatically for you. If the symbol is misspelled or unavailable on your server, an error occurs - you'll see the message \"Errors! Check the log\" on the chart. All details about errors and warning are logged in the Experts log.

\r\n

When number of Instruments is greater than 8, all of them participate in calculations and affect chart lines, but only first 8 are displayed. Though it's feasible to have more than 8 lines, it would produce difficulties with perception. Moreover, each next instrument added to the cluster affects the whole picture less.

\r\n

Please, be patient. The indicator calculates a bunch of moving averages for every symbol, for different time frames. When it's placed on a chart first time, the process may take a while, usually this means some data has being still downloading and calculating. All necessary refreshes take place automatically. You should interfere only if you see the above mentioned error message in the chart.

Overview

The Expert Advisor sends notifications to a mobile phone, via e-mail or activates an audio alarm in case any changes are detected on the trading account: opening/closing positions, changing order and position parameters, balance or leverage. The Expert Advisor does not trade, it only monitors your account and orders.

Launching the Expert Advisor

You should allow automated trading in your MetaTrader 5 terminal to let the operation of the Expert Advisor. To do this, enter Tools - Options - Expert Advisors tab and enable \"Allow automated trading\" parameter. To launch the Expert Advisor, right-click its name in the Navigator window and select \"Attach to chart\" or drag and drop it on the chart by mouse. The windows of the Expert Advisor's parameters will appear. Set the desired parameters and click OK.

The Expert Advisor can be attached to the chart of any financial instrument. Analysis of order and position parameters is performed after any trading operation, while checks for reaching critical Equity or Free Margin levels is performed after a new quote arrives. Therefore, it is recommended to launch the Expert Advisor on the symbol with frequently arriving quotes (for example, on one of the basic symbols: EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCHF or USDJPY) in order to decrease notification delays. Use time in messages - time specified in messages sent to the mobile terminal or via e-mail (Server Time - trade server time, Local Time - time of the PC the Expert Advisor is running at);
Screen Information - display server and local time, as well as notification settings (Show, Hide).

Calculating Free Margin Level

\r\n

As mentioned earlier, the Expert Advisor can notify of decreasing Free Margin compared to Margin. Let's examine calculation of Free Margin level in more details. In most cases (including MetaTrader 5 trading terminal), Margin value is defined considering Leverage provided by a broker. But the broker can change the leverage value at any time, and the Margin value also changes subsequently. Most often, the leverage value is not so critical for trading (unless trading is conducted in a risky manner using the maximum possible position volume). Therefore, this Expert Advisor calculates the Margin value without regard to the leverage. Free Margin level is defined as a ratio of Free Margin to Margin in percentage value.

\r\n

Let's consider the following example. Suppose that 1 lot equals to 100 000 units of the base currency. Position at EURUSD is opened having the volume of 0.10 lots at the price of 1.3 USD per 1 EUR. For buying or selling 0.10 * 100 000 = 10 000 EUR, we will need 13 000 USD. This value is considered to be the Margin for the present Expert Advisor (though in most cases, a leverage is applied to that value, for example, if leverage is 1:100, then we will have 130 USD of Margin). If the deposit is equal to 1000 USD, Free Margin will be equal to 1000 - 130 = 870 USD after opening a position, while the Margin level will be calculated as 870 / 13 000 = 0.0669 or 6.69 %. If we set the Margin limit, at which notification is delivered, to 5%, the notification will be sent in case of Free Margin being equal to 0.05 * 13 000 = 650 USD or Equity comprising 650 + 130 = 780 USD.

\r\n

Despite the apparent complexity of defining the Free Margin level, this method provided the most informative results in actual practice.

\r\n

Sending Notifications to the Mobile Terminal

\r\n

First of all, you should have mobile version of MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 terminal installed on your Android or iOS powered device to receive notifications. You can download MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 mobile terminal for Android, as well as MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 mobile terminal for iOS for free.

You should allow sending push notifications in MetaTrader 5 trading terminal, on which the Expert Advisor is to be launched. To do this, enter Tools – Options – Notifications tab and turn \"Enable Push Notifications\" parameter on. You should also specify your MetaQuotes_ID on this tab. It can be found on Messages tab of the mobile terminal.

\"Push Notification Events\" input parameter allows you to define types of events that are followed by sending notifications to your mobile terminal. This option only applies to reversal patterns. Since reversal patterns are only valid at the end of a trend, some kind of condition must be placed to display or ignore certain patterns. The default behavior is to ignore bearish reversal patterns below the highest of the last four bars, and ignore bullish reversal patterns above the lowest of the last four bars. This parameter allows you to switch on/off this filter.
ReversalDonchian
The desired number of bars to evaluate in order to display or ignore reversal patterns. (Only applies if the above option is enabled)
RedundantReversals
Reversal patterns often take place one after another as the market turns its direction, signaling the reversal more than once as the price evolves. For example, it is frequent to see reversals very similar to the following. A Bullish Hammer (Bar 1), followed by an Engulfing Pattern (Bar 2), an Outside Up Pattern (Day 3) and Three Soldiers (Day 4), being all of them redundant reversal patterns after the first hammer took place. If disabled, the RedundantReversals parameter eliminates this redundancy and hides future reversal patterns in the same direction after the first valid one. This feature is very useful if you are visually backtesting charts but not so much for live trading, since you want to receive as many signals as possible -or perhaps didn't trade the first hammer-. Make sure to enable this option for live trading, in order to see all opportunities and receive alerts.

The indicator includes the built-in system of filtration, and it displays only new deals that are performed at a changed price or with a greater volume. 1 lot deals are displayed but they don't have captions on the chart; it allows concentration on main information.

I recommend attaching the indicator Actual tick footprint (volume chart) to М1 or М5 chart and the selecting the best scale. It will allow taking optimal decisions when scalping and when searching for an optimal entry to the market on a longer period.

\r\n

To understand the behavior of participants of the market and to interpret the volumes, I recommend using this indicator together with my other development – the product Actual depth of market chart which displays the market depth histogram.

The parameters of the indicator allow setting up the chart appearance:

Ticks on chart – number of last displayed deals.
Scale in pips – height of the vertical scale in points. You should adjust the value considering the current volatility.

Color label – color of a volume caption on a deal marker.

Pay attention to the following features:

The indicator will not work in the strategy tester, only on a real market. You can see how it works on the video.
The indicator will work only on the instruments with real volumes of deals available. First of all, it will be interesting for trades on the FORTS market and other stock markets accessible through MetaTrader 5.

We do we need it? Looking through the operation results of my favorite Expert Advisor in the strategy tester I noticed that most deals it opened during the Asian session were unprofitable. It would be a great idea to see it on a graph, I thought. And that was the time I bumped into the first problem - viewing only the Asian session on a chart. And hiding all the others. It is not a problem to find the work schedule of exchanges in Tokyo or Singapore, but how to highlight their operation time only and nothing else?

The second problem appeared later. For some reason all the deals performed on Thursdays were unprofitable, while on the other days everything went good. What was wrong with Thursdays so that my Expert Advisor couldn't cope with them? I started analyzing the situation, and so I needed to highlight all Thursdays on a chart. This was the second problem.

The third problem appeared when I decided to compare the price behavior between two sessions. I thought that the American session was somehow connected with the Asian one, so I needed to highlight both of them and remove all the rest. And that was the third problem.

Comparing these problems, I had come to a decision to start doing something, so I started developing an indicator that would solve all these problems. That is how the GoodTime indicator appeared.

Note

This is not an automated trading system.
It monitors your deals and averages them in case of a drawdown until you get a profit.

How does it work?

The Expert Advisor will open a position in the same direction after the specified number of points (Distance).
The volume of the position is calculated as the volume of the previous deal * LotsMartin.
Also, the Expert Advisor modifies the common take profit for all deals, setting it as \"The point of zero line of all positions of the same direction\" + TakeProfit points.
Also, it can modify the stop loss of all positions (if TrailingStopUSE = true) if the Price breaks through the level \"The point of zero line of all positions of the same direction\" and goes behind it for TrailingStop points.
The input parameters of the Expert Advisor include MaxOrders, which is the maximum number of deals for averaging.

The Expert Advisor works on the currency pair to which the chart is attached. For example, to turn on the averaging for EURUSD, open the EURUSD chart and run the Expert Advisor.

How does additional opening work on the trend?

Suppose

You open a BUY position at a price of 1.600 ;
The Price goes up to 1.700, and the current profit is +100 points;
Breakeven point(Average Price) = 1.600 ;
If we open the BUY position at the Price of 1.700, then our position is averaged, and the Breakeven can be set to 1.650 ;
Expert Advisor opens 3 additional positions(deals).
Price rollback.
The Expert Advisor (EA) activates the Trailing Stop, and 5 positions gain profit to increase it.

How does averaging work against the trend?

Suppose

You open a BUY position at a price of 1.600 ;
The Price goes down to 1.500, and the current loss is -100 points;
Breakeven point(Average Price) = 1.600 ;
To modify Stop Loss to the Breakeven level, we need to rise 100 points up trend;
If we open the BUY position at the Price of 1.500, then our position is averaged, and the Breakeven can be set to 1.550 ;
To close two trades, the Price must move up 50 points, not 100 points.
The Expert Advisor (EA) activates the Trailing Stop, and two positions gain profit to increase it.

System Parameters

MaxOrdersOpen - the maximum number of opened orders, 0 - unlimited.

TakeProfitALL - total take profit for modification.

AllTradeTrail - Allow modification of trailing stop\\breakeven\\take profit for all trades, including the ones opened by the user, on the given currency pair.

SleepForOpenbetweenLastClose - delay in minutes for opening averaging trades after a trade is closed.

OpenOnly1ofBar - allows opening only 1 averaging\\additional trade per bar (depends on the current TF).

OrderToAverage - the type of orders. -1 - all orders, 1 - Sell, 0 - Buy.

MagicToAverage is the magic number of the orders, and -1 is all orders.

Parameters of Averaging

Distance - distance for the opened grid positions for opening against the trend.

DistanceMartin - increase the distance for the next position in the grid. Martingale for distance.

StopLoss - stop loss for the averaging trade against the trend.

LotsMartin - volume increase for the grid of positions against the trend.

LotAdditional - an additional lot for an averaged position against the trend.

LotMax is the maximum averaging lot against the trend.

Parameters of Additional Opening

Usage

Start the panel on your currency pair chart.
On the panel select the option to close positions by all symbols or by the current symbol.
To activate the options for selecting the close type, you need to specify a non-zero value for the corresponding parameters.
Check the options you want to use for closing (Profit\\Loss in pips\\dollars\\percent).
Enable the Close if Profit or Loss button, it should become blue. It means that the Expert Advisor has started working.
Once the profit or loss of your position crosses the set levels, the positions will be closed.
The emergency button CLOSE ALL is intended for closing all positions instantly.

Management

All Symbols - enables closing for all symbols.
XXXXXX only - only closing on the current pair the EA is running on.
Separate BuySell - enables separate closing for BUY and SELL positions.
Separate Order - separate closing for each separate positions.
Profit $ - enables\\disables closing by a total profit in USD or deposit currency.
Profit p - enables\\disables closing by a total profit in pips.

Trailing Profit

Trailing based on configured parameters.

This function enables trailing for profit (floating profit) at closing.
In this case, the profit is not fixed but is closed with a trailing of the specified value. As soon as the profit reaches the specified value, the Expert Advisor saves the current profit level and starts trailing the profit.

Example:

If Profit $ is set to 10 and TrailingProfit is set to 5 the Trailing Stop will be set at 5 dollars.
The Trailing Stop will come into play when the Expert Advisor passes the 10 dollar line and start moving following the profit.
When the total profit falls below the last fixed level, TrailingProfit, the Expert Advisor will perform forced closing of all position.

External Variables and Settings

Notifications: Toggle phone notifications or sound alerts for position actions and errors. Customize sound file names without extensions.

Language: Select interface language (Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), German, Chinese, Japanese). Defaults to terminal language.

MagicNumber (int): Assigns a unique magic number to identify positions/orders opened by this EA. 0 means no magic number.

UseAllMagicFromAllAccount (bool): true: Monitors all positions for the current symbol across the account. false: Only monitors positions with specified MagicNumber(s).
