Since 2008, I have been trading as a hobby. In 2026, I made trading my full-time profession. Over this time, there have been many ups and downs. Back in 2010, I realized that manual trading wasn't for me. It just didn't fit my personality: discipline is my weak spot. Strictly following my own trading rules turned out to be an overwhelming task.
That is why I decided to create a trading robot that would do everything for me. My dream was to simply turn on the computer in the morning and withdraw profits once a month. I started teaching myself programming to write my own trading robot. For several years down this road, I was essentially tilting at windmills. I learned how to write high-quality code, optimize parameters, and backtest a trading system properly. Yet, all my skills were useless because I lacked a genuinely workable, profitable trading strategy. I tried to code other people's trading systems that I found online. However, manual trading systems proved too complex to formalize into code. After all, a manual trader's decision-making is backed by experience, awareness of fundamental data, and a visual assessment of the current chart layout. In other words, a human has a bias. Based on that bias, they instinctively filter out what they believe to be losing signals. If they have a doubt, they will skip a trade, even if they can't explain why. A robot, on the other hand, only considers the current chart pattern up to the historical depth set by the developer and carries no bias. Therefore, it boldly opens a position as soon as a signal appears.
I came to the conclusion that a robot must be based on a single, ultra-simple trading idea or setup that can be easily formalized into code. A simple idea or a basic setup repeats regularly on the chart, regardless of how the market changes. The main thing is that the idea or setup must not contradict the logic of price action. This approach allows you to determine the effectiveness of a trading idea or setup through backtesting. In contrast, for a manual trader to verify the effectiveness of their trading system, they have to spend weeks, months, or even years gathering and processing statistical data. Positive historical performance is the only thing that can suggest a trading system's future profitability. That is why experienced traders always ask to see the statistics first.
Only when I created my own trading system and built a robot around it was I able to turn trading into a source of passive income. I do not teach my trading system, nor do I sell trading robots. Instead, I give everyone the opportunity to earn money using my robot. Join me by subscribing to my copy trading or trading signals.
