Consumer Confidence Index shows the level of consumer confidence in the euro area's economic activity. The indicator is issued monthly and based on household surveys concerning expectations for the next 12 months. Expectations of the household's own financial situation, possibility of savings, general economic situation and unemployment are evaluated.
