GfK Consumer Climate Index is a leading indicator reflecting consumer confidence in Germany's economic development. The indicator is calculated based on a monthly survey of about two thousand respondents. A higher than expected reading is seen as favorable for the euro quotes, while lower readings are seen as negative.
