Markit Manufacturing PMI is an indicator of changes in industrial sector business conditions in Germany, in the specified month. The indicator is based on monthly surveys of purchasing managers working in private companies of the manufacturing sector. The index represents a weighted average of five main parameters: new orders (30%), production (25%), employment (20%), supplier deliveries (15%) and inventory levels (10%). The index reflects the conditions of doing business in the manufacturing sector. Readings above 50 can affect euro quotes positively.
