ZEW Economic Sentiment Indicator is calculated monthly by the Center of European Economic Research on the basis of a survey of around 300 experts from banks, insurance companies and financial departments of corporations. The survey participants are asked about their expectations concerning the economy, inflation rates, interest rates, stock markets, and oil prices for the next six months. The index reflects the sentiment of institutional investors. Index growth may have a positive impact on euro quotes.
