Markit Services PMI reflects the level of activity in the Italian service companies during the given month. It is calculated based on a survey of purchasing managers from more than 400 companies, which provide transportation, information, communication, financial, insurance, real estate and commercial services. Managers evaluate business and economic conditions in their sector, as well as provide their short-term expectations. Readings above 50 can affect euro quotes positively.
