The Consumer Confidence Index reflects individuals' expectations concerning the economic activity. The indicator is calculated based on a survey of persons aged 18 and older, which are interviewed to evaluate the current and future economic situation in relation to themselves, their family and for the entire country. The short-term outlook of the Mexican economy is measured based on the Consumer Confidence Index.
