BoE Inflation Expectations show the expected change in prices for goods and services in the next year. The index is compiled based on a survey of several thousand consumers. The Bank of England publishes survey results quarterly in conjunction with the quarterly inflation report.
The figure is included by the BoE in inflation forecasts; it demonstrates whether the regulator is coping with the target of 2%.
