Core PCE Price Index m/m reflects price changes of durable and non-durable goods and services in the specified month compared to the previous month. Food and energy prices are excluded from the index due to their high volatility.
The Fed uses the index when estimating inflation. Index growth may have a positive effect on dollar quotes.
