ISM Manufacturing New Orders Index is one of the elements included in manufacturing PMI (Purchasing Managers Index) calculation. The index is based on monthly surveys of purchasing and supply managers in companies, representing 18 US industries. Respondents estimate whether the number of new orders in their company is increasing, decreasing or remains at the same level.

The New Orders Index has the largest share in PMI calculations among all other components, while its weight is 30%.
