ISM Non-Manufacturing Employment Index is one of the elements included in the calculation of the service sector PMI (Purchasing Managers Index). The index is calculated monthly according to the survey of purchasing managers in companies from 16 industries of the US service sector. Survey respondents are asked about whether employment in their company has changed positively, negatively or remains unchanged.
Index values above 50 can bee seen as positive for the US dollar.
