Kansas City Fed Manufacturing Production index reflects results of a survey of about 300 manufacturing companies operating in the tenth Fed district and enables the evaluation of the manufacturing sector state. A higher than expected reading is an indication of strong economic development and is seen as favorable for the US dollar, while lower readings are seen as negative.
