Employment Change y/y shows the change in the number of people employed in the euro area in the given quarter compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The calculation includes the full and part-time employment, as well as hired labor and self-employment.

The index increase allows forecasting the growth in consumer spending. That is why the growth of the indicator value can have a positive effect on euro quotes.
