Retail Sales y/y reflect a change in Spanish retail sales excluding cars and fuel, in the reported month compared to the same month of the previous year. The survey coverage includes 12500 companies located in Spain. This is the primary indicator of consumer spending, so higher than expected readings can be seen as positive for the euro quotes.
