Bank of England M4 Money Supply m/m shows changes in the the sterling in circulation in the given month compared to the previous month. In addition to money stored in the banking system, M4 includes money supply kept by individuals:
- notes and coins,
- sterling deposits and certificates,
- commercial papers, bonds and other instruments, including five years' original maturity issued by UK MFIs,
- estimated holdings of sterling bank bills.
The Money Supply growth is a national inflation measure.
